Maybe but Oxford relaid their pitch in the summer and it has rained just as much here and yet the pitch looked great today, at least on the TV

The wales game before the season hindered us from relaying it.

It's a modern construction pitch. Should be much better than it is.

It looked even worse to me tonight. The BBC are now using language like 'Wretched pitch, near-empty stadium' & 'two much-changed sides toil on a muddy, deteriorating pitch'.

Not using it as an excuse by any means but the pitch is horrendous.
