' CARDIFF CITY AND THE FA CUP '

Sat Jan 09, 2016 12:27 pm

Are you hopeful of a cup run this season ?

Do you believe City can have a successful run in the FA cup this season ?

Is the league campaign the only important thing this year and would the cup be a distraction ?

I, obviously, expect that we will beat Shrewsbury tomorrow and love watching the draws for the next round in the hope we can get a side that gives us the chance to progress further.

Do City have a squad that can cope with an extended cup run ?

The money from a decent cup run is the important factor for me carl
If we get through this round
Man Utd or Arsenal or man city home next would be my preference
All the glory hunters would be out in force
I would give season ticket holders normal prices and would put up prices to maximise profits from the glory hunters

I think a cup run would be good for business and confidence of the players.

I do still believe we will limp into the playoffs this season, what we do after is an unknown.

We limped into the carling cup final a few years back by drawing a lot of the games and taking them to extra time, i think we'd do the same this season in the playoffs.

As for the cup, anything could happen and that is where the excitement comes from.

It would be interesting to see how many of the stay away fans would stick to their principles if we get a top 6 team at the CCS.

Wonder how many people who hate Tan and are boycotting because of Tan would suddenly fancy 'giving it a another go'? Then if we lose say no defo not the same.

Carl, I would love a Cup run and we should go all out to win FACUP matches and it might get a bit enthusiasm and buzz back in to our City :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Good for moral and confidence :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :bluebird: :bluebird:

All clubs including cardiff always have bigger crowds for so called glamour cup games. This has happened ever since I have support city and football.

It's just the way it is and won't ever change. It could if football was priced much cheaper. 100 quid season tickets will equal sell out crowds. Simple

I hope Slade respects and take the F.A. cup more seriously than Mackay ever did

Why would it?

Apparently fans aren't coming because of Tan not because of the cost.

We could do with a cup run and game time for youngsters. Be great to have a big team tie bring some buzz back to the ground

That is just one reason among many for some Mr tan apologist. You didn't turn up for years for some bizarre reason.

Yes I think we can do well in the Cup and Slade does respect it with him being old fashioned and hopefully we can gain the momentum from it and carry in ton in the league aswell. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

If you work shift and still go you are a better man than me. I'm an Air Traffic Controller so work shift including an annoying amount of Saturdays. I also volunteer as a community first responder.

After the FA Cup final was when (I think) our club really started to change due to presence of glory supporters. The atmosphere noticeably changed.

I think I went to about a quarter of games year after that season (was based at Cottesmore) but then moved to Cyprus so that took away options to go. Now I am in the position as above. I'm not protesting or anything have been three times this year.

Good idea. Reward loyal fans and make the glory hunters pay a premium for their one game a season trip.

Shite mate, pushing for cpl soon but for an extra £80 a year and frozen for three years I might keep other options open. Not sure what they expect from people who extra responsiblity and hardly any incentive
