Apparently leeds and Burnley have asked if Joe mason is available...

If we can bring in better I'd sell him

I would sell him if we got a decent replacement lined up ,I really think we need freshening up as a squad

There is better out there, but I would give him his last chance of a run of games to prove himself as he really wants to prove himself and is well up for it :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I'd love him to do well because he's been here so long but just don't think he's got that extra quality

Joe is always going to struggle in a team that plays the way Slades do. It's been said before but he's the most natural finisher at the club, but he relies on quality through balls from the midfield, something we seem either completely incapable of or unwilling to do. He would probably be better off going for the sake of his own career.

Mason been a good servant for us, always gave 100%. Little bit lightweight and lacks a yard or two, good finisher and as long as he keeps fishing I'd keep him. He'd be the impact sub for me last third when defenders are knackered he stands a chance.....Ravell the imposter of a professional footballer should go first imo...embarrassing that Slade picked him...it's like bringing an 8 track to apple convention

I'm not convinced Masin's finishing is that good.

Never seems to have any power in his shot and hopeless with 1 on 1s

However we aren't blessed with strikers and his wage probably isn't great, I wouldn't sell him unless we got a decent fee.

Unless a decent offer is made we should retain Joe. Burnley have some money but leeds don't. Revell and macheda must.go first

I don't see Mason as excess baggage, if we are to compete for the top six then we need Mason as the third/ fourth choice striker, what we don't want is to be relying on him as a main striker

Get shot, watched every game this year he has played in! Annis he has had a run of games doesn't need another run to prove how work shy he is, it's not about the midfield can't supply the pass, it doesn't matter if he is the supposedly the best finisher.

The games he has played this year he has let everybody down inc himself, lazy no effort, won't chase close players down.

He needs to watch a video of Tony Watt and see his commitment, desire , work rate because unfortunately he offers none of them.

If he never plays for us again I would be happy.

I hope he goes too. Any decent offer is likely to be more than what he's worth.

He ought to give Kenny Miller a percentage of his wages as that one season with Miller made his reputation.

For the four or five games his instincts kick in and he knicks a goal in the six yard box leaves the other thirty games when he squanders one on one's and offers nothing in terms of speed, power or aerial ability in or around the penalty box.

Sorry, for me a lower league player. I thought like the majority the 20 year would develop into a Teddy Sheringham type player, but in those four years he has probably only added about 4 Kg's of muscle and he needs something else other than being a 10 goal a season poacher.

Any offer over £500k would be marvellous.

quite obvious why slade does not want to sell anyone, this is his best chance of keeping his job as if he sells, there will be no money to replace.
tan, dalman and choo have played us for fools with the idea investment in the team would continue.

IMHO - I doubt we'll sell nobody that Bellamy wants to keep

I believe we are clearing the decks for his summer announcement and he will be backed in the summer not Slade during the winter.

Mason is a quality player that's not getting the service he needs to be a 20 goal a season striker we need to use him as either a goal poacher like how someone such as Michael Owen was or in a partnership like we had with boothroyd and chops with someone who could hold the ball up and play him in behind
