Potential exciting news for Coventry fans as boss Tony Mowbray has confirmed Joe Cole’s permanent switch from Aston Villa is “nearly done”.
“It’s a little bit in limbo world of nearly done, not quite there yet and another paper or two to sign but we’re hopeful, very hopeful,” said Mowbray.
Staying with Coventry, Mowbray also revealed that Dutch winger Elson Hooi is on trial with the club this week. Hooi would be a replacement for Ryan Kent, who recently returned to Liverpool, and would be available on a free transfer.
