Greg Cundle has shone for East Grinstead Town

Reports are suggesting that East Grinstead Town hot-shot Greg Cundle could be on his way to Championship side Cardiff City.

Cundle is the Wasps' top scorer, hitting eight goals since joining the Wasps on loan from League One high-fliers Gillingham.

And that has reportedly caught the eye of the Bluebirds, who according to reports are set to launch a bid to sign the teenager this month.

You for real? Every youngster we sign or comes through the academy we never see. We will sign this lad send him out on loan and he will never break through to the first team he will just get released.

Look at the way kennedy has been handled, bags of talent and played really well in the first team last year but he is nowhere to be seen. Pointless signing again i expect.

Kennedy is a funny one, looked good in the first team last year yes but looks average in the development team this season. Slade's right not to be playing him.

I don't know if he's any good or not, one for now or the future, I just want us to buy proven quality for the division we're in.

Nothing wrong with buying young players who might have the talent to make it. However, nobody really trusts this regime to find a hidden gem do they? I don't

Completely agree. So another odd one if he's going straight to the Development squad as they go nowhere with us after that. There is talent across the age groups throughout our Academy but the chances of them progressing from the Dev Squad to first team is next to zero at the moment and I don't see it changing anytime soon. The majority of our talent will be loaned, go to other teams or simply drop out of the system. As it is, apart from purely developing players, sadly, there seems little point in having an Academy except the fact that you are required to have it. And because it is dysfunctional in its present state, our Academy is not a first choice of where local talent wants to play anymore.

That's true. Cardiff need to gain a rep for blooding youngsters. They certainly don't have that rep for players/agents to feel its a good move to get a chance in league football  :bluebird: :ayatollah:

Yes that does seem to be the trend, I thought Kennedy had good potential and didn't look out of place last season, we need players to slot straight in and kick start our season. :ayatollah:
