Agree but on the field it has to be a striker for me.
Jones gone, Ravell going (& not good enough), that leaves Watt who's decent but not prolific, Mason and two crocs.

Tony Watt..Ross McCormack and Ameobi contributing with 20 minute cameos would possibly get us into the play offs
But that's probably 10 million quid we haven't got!!!

Box to box midfielder.
Forward.
Winger if Noone or Pilkington go.

My thoughts also.
2 top midfielders would be great and put us in play offs.

IMO we haven't a chance for the playoffs. 4 points from the next two games and i may adjust that view, just can't see it.
Sell everyone who we get an offer realistic offer for and don't buy anyone. Let next seasons manager not have to get rid of more of Slade's donkeys.
Bring back Rhys Healey, play the young full backs whatever happened to Tom James ? We have loads of central midfielders, young wingers, give them ago. We are bound to have a bounce as none of the oppositions analysts will know a thing about them.
Six more points and we're safe, so lets have a look at out squad.

Annis,
We were always looking for a striker before KJ left. So we now need 2 and possibly 3 if Macheda and Revell go.
Winger is a must however if noone or pilks goes could be 2 and give Kennedy and Harris a chance or get them out on loan and playing.
Midfielder was a must and maybe a right back. However once again we could see Marshall and manga go too.
As I said a while back lots of movement both ways in this window imo

We need a tall striker and a pacy winger.

There is no priority as the team as a whole needs strengthening. IMO I would only place Marshall, Connelly and Watt as not needing to be replaced.
I am sure a decent manage could coax better performances out of the squad but they are a notch below some of the quality that the top 2 clubs have got.
Not much though separates us from the other play off hopefuls.
And that is not saying a lot.

I'm torn on transfers this window, on one hand most informed fans realise that the present squad is not good enough to get us promotion, we desperately need an influx of quality, but on the other hand I simply don't have enough faith in Slade's ability to bring in that quality and would waste the money shopping in poundland

Pacy striker and a pacy winger.

I would say a Striker to partner Watt however we need to able to get decent service for our front men, so i would go for a Box to box midfielder,
Thu Jan 07, 2016 7:23 pm
Striker ,pacey winger and a box to box midfield play maker
Thu Jan 07, 2016 7:27 pm
Central Midfielder and a target man
Thu Jan 07, 2016 9:43 pm
1. Tony Watt, 2.Target man, 3. Centre midfield player and then a pacey winger if we got anything left over. I would keep hold of Adedeji Oshilaja at least until Morrison is back from injury because we are a bit light at the back

The whole field.
Including the field.
