One of the best ball winning central midfielders I've seen in the premier league let alone us.

He would get in pretty much any team in the league.

He's played virtually most games for Inter since joining last August, says a lot about the type of player he is.

I think he enjoyed us fans as well.

He did tail off at the end of the season but we could all see we were doomed and he had a World Cup to think about

His performance against Fulham away and Swansea at home that season were brilliant

Easily the classiest player ever to have donned a City shirt (albeit a fake red one). He knew he was fighting a losing battle in a poor midfield and maybe with the impending World Cup beckoning his final games were subdued by his own standards. I doubt we'll ever see his ilk again.
