Young Cardiff City stars Tommy O'Sullivan and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb back with the Bluebirds after Newport County loan spells end

The young pair are back under Russell Slade's eye after ending their time with Newport County
Rookie Cardiff City loan stars Tommy O'Sullivan and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb are back with the Bluebirds after the end of their spells with Newport County.
And it looks like they won't return to the Exiles – despite getting the blessing of Bluebirds boss Russell Slade to stay at Rodney Parade.
Mountain Ash-born midfielder O'Sullivan, 20, and full-back Barnum-Bobb had impressed while on loan stays with the League Two side, both playing in the two FA Cup clashes that have set up Saturday's showdown with Championship Blackburn Rovers.
But it's understood neither will be involved for County in the third-round clash after they returned to their parent club following the end of the loan deals and with Newport not extending their stay.
It is not clear why the pair were not offered longer stays with O'Sullivan playing 13 times during his move up the M4 and Barnum-Bobb making 14 appearances having moved following John Sheridan's appointment which itself followed the successful Supporters Trust takeover of County.
Both started the December 28 League Two defeat to Plymouth, last Saturday's fixture with Hartlepool having been called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Rodney Parade.
Slade had admitted at the weekend he had been pleased with O'Sullivan's development since leaving on loan, but added that he believed it was still too early for the Wales youth international to be considered at Championship level.

I'd like to know WHY?
if there not being sold or used instead of others moving on what is the point.

I'd imagine the club will want them to step up and go on loan to a league 1 club. OR
Something must have happened at the Newport end for both players to come back. Very strange as the club were keen to extend their loan to Newport and give them game time.

Aren't they both cup tied?. Strange one this as Sheridan was adamant he wanted to keep them. Can't imagine we would recall them to go back to the Dvp side so surely must be league 1 option. Test them at a higher level I suppose.

Slade did say he was looking to bring 3 players IN during the transfer window. Well here's 2 of them!

I would be happy with that if they are going to be given a chance.

It's about time we bled some of our youth in the team.
