BLUEBIRD OSHILAJA RETURNS TO PARENT CLUB CARDIFF

Gills boss Justin Edinburgh has confirmed that central defender Adedeji Oshilaja has been recalled by parent club Cardiff as his loan spell came to an end last Saturday.

The recall of the 22-year-old centre-back was not unexpected as Oshilaja was on the bench for the Bradford City game and not used by boss Edinburgh who has re-introduced Max Ehmer into that position.

However Oshilaja has played an important part in the heart of the Gills defence having joined at the start of the League One campaign on a half-season loan in helping Gills achieve 50 points at the start of the New Year.

Gills boss Edinburgh was very keen to extend the loan spell of Deji Oshilaja but unfortunately no new deal could be agreed with Championship side Cardiff City.
