Defender Adedeji Oshilaja's loan spell at Gillingham has come to an end.
Oshilaja has been recalled by his parent club Cardiff City, Gills boss Justin Edinburgh confirmed on Tuesday morning.
The 22-year-old centre-back has been a key figure along side John Egan at the heart of the Gills defence having joined on a half season loan at the start of the season.
Oshilaja made 14 starts and 1 substitute appearance for the Gills, who can go top of the table if they can avoid defeat at Wigan on Tuesday night.
Gills want to wish Oshilaja all the best for the future and thank him for his contribution this season.

when I've seen him play I've seen nothing but positives.if slade wants back up then here he is instead of bringing in more dead wood.

Hopefully he gets game time.

We certainly need a centreback, with Tamas leaving and both Turner and Morrison injured. Why not him?

Perhaps going to be involved on Sunday, especially with Tamas storming out.

Actually I looked it up myself. Gillingham were knocked out by Stevenage in the first round and Oshilaja did not feature in the match day squad, so, no, he isn't cup tied.

Good news!
It has to be an Oshilaja/Manga or an Oshilaja/Connolly partnership on Sunday then

Agree Slade has to give the guy a chance, plus we shouldn't be risking our main players in a cup match, maybe him and ajayi if hes not out on loan, they played decent in pre season.

Good........provided there is NO question of losing Bruno Manga as he is our best outfield player by the proverbial mile!!
We need a strong spine to the team. We have Marshall Manga and Ralls at present which is as good as almost any Champioship side. With Watt and hopefully another decent striker (WW?) things might be promising.
Also we are not wasting so much money e.g. Getting rid of lazybones Jones.
BUT if BM goes I will forget all the above optimism!! And shout taxi for Slade again!

Won young player of the year with AFC Wimbledon who are in League 2 and now playing a key role in GIllingham's season who are 2nd currently and he scored 3 goals I think for them.. I think he should be involved around the first team squad more.

Good prospect this lad and has shone wherever he has been sent on loan. Like the idea of having him back.
