Would you think Peter Crouch could be a decent replacement for Kenwyne Jones ?
I see Crouch is not getting much, if any, look in at Stoke. I think he is around 33 or 34 yrs old and his career in the top flight must be coming close to an end so if City made a bid to bring him in on loan for the remainder of the season do you think he would be a good fit in our set up.
Peter Crouch and Tony Watt partnership in Russell Slade's 4-4-2 could prove useful in the Championship.
I don't know what Mark Hughes' plans are for the beanpole striker but if he was available and City could afford his wages then it would be a decent signing in my opinion.

No something we don't Carl?

I'd be happy with that. He's always give his all.

Personally I would go in for Kyle Lafferty if available.
Mon Jan 04, 2016 9:15 pm
No doubt over his quality, his age is an issue but on a short contract or on loan, he would be very very good. His personality would also be welcome

Crouch is a top player and can run ,he's good in the air and also on the floor go get him slade

Lafferty is going to Leeds apparently. A pity! Crouch must have at least one season left in him, but I've got a feeling well sign someone from France or Netherlands.

I wouldn't have him he is well past it and probably be on similar money to Kenwyne.

I would say he is better, than Kenwyne, he is getting on a bit but could get a couple of seasons out of him, and yes it would be a great partnership ,
I did see it mentioned on Sky that Mark Hughes would not be letting him leave Stoke, but never say never

As long as Abbey Clancy came with him he can sign.

Hell yeah!
Plus the robotic ayatollah would be ace!!!

Photographed a few Stoke games this year and last. I believe he always gives 150%. Its just unfortunate that he finds himself in a very good Stoke side.
A move to a Championship side would be a good move for him. Personally I'd love to have him here. My only worry is whether we could give him the service he needs. If we can he will score goals. He is certainly not lazy.

be an amazing signing. way to expensive on the wage side for us i believe tho.
personally would expect him to go back to Qpr if he was to drop down. huge upgrade on Jones. great goalscoring record at international level to. think he will add a few thousand on the gate to

Might only have to pay a % of his wages tho

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... ng-7103618Would be a great signing for us plus he'd get arses on seats but it looks like we would need a change of heart from Hughes for it to happen

I mentioned Peter Crouch a few days ago and I think it would be a good fit (far more mobile than his ex-mate KJ)
Mon Jan 04, 2016 10:23 pm
One of my all time favourite players
Sadly can't see it ever coming off but I would get his name on my shirt if it did!
Mon Jan 04, 2016 10:28 pm
Crouch would be a fantastic signing. Still lives in London easy commute my mate knows his Mrs brother really well
Top fella as well
Mon Jan 04, 2016 10:34 pm
Great player, would be a fantastic signing at this level on a loan until the end of the season.
But can't see it coming off if I'm honest.

WTF am i reading !!!!!! Have we not learnt, how many over the hill "names" do we need to go through before we realise its pointless.
Yeah, let sell Nooney to pay for his wages for 6 months
Cost cutting, FFP, selling players, loaning out players, ring any bells !!!!!!
Mon Jan 04, 2016 10:43 pm
Yes,he would score goals and goals win matches.

Indeed, this kind of proposition would make no sense. It would be enough to make you laugh or cry!

Me too Kyle Lafferty is in his prime while peter crouch is arguably past it. Don't get me wrong I would love to see crouch down here playing for Cardiff but it seems pointless as when kenwyne was here that's all the fans would moan about is the wages he was on when Crouch would be on the same wages if not bigger wages than kenwyne and do anyone think crouch can score 15-20 goals a season in the championship at his age? as that was the expectation the fans had with Kenwyne Jones

I wonder how many more will attend in directors box if ABbey Clancy becomes a regular there
Tue Jan 05, 2016 10:12 am
I'd welcome Crouch here in a heartbeat, a real 100% player and I think he would do a job for us until the end of the season. His wages would be a stumbling block but if they let us pay a %age of them I think it would be very good business. He's not getting any game time at Stoke so it would be beneficial to us, him and Stoke and I think Crouch would relish the opportunity to be honest.
