' Nathan Blakeys Wrong on Ambition '

Mon Jan 04, 2016 12:49 pm

Blakeys got it wrong on his comments re ambition

Ambition is not only a short term thing

it can also be a long term thing

Surely sorting out our financial mess in the short term is ambitious

Surely having a longer term plan on the playing side is showing ambition

So putting them together is in fact showing ambition
letting jones go now is no more less ambitions then ambitious
in fact in the short term its beneficial to our financial ambitions
there for its ambitious

wonder how many of our fans would except a 2/3 year plan to put our club on a solid platform finance/playing footing

Very few. They would just say that Tan was lacking ambition.

I do like this post, however, it does not factor in the above strategies are now in place because Tan made a right pigs ear of running a football club.

He is a billionaire owner and never tried to get a top manager to run club affairs. No point crying when giving untested managers serious cash to spend in transfer windows

Lol, easy for me to say in hindsight, but, I would like to think it was my money, I'd give serious thoughts (+ sleepless nights) who I've employed to spend it! :ayatollah:

That's my point, I can't applaud the cost cutting as I personally thought a billionaire owner was going to be a benefactor, not a venture capitalist

He would have been. Then we started abusing him personally and racially and he changed his mind.

The debt does need to go down but we need expensive players else we have no ambition. Oh hang on.

KJ is overpaid but to let him go is a lack of ambition. Oh hang on.
