if there was social media in the 70,80,90's

Would the fans of that era mirror todays forum.

Interesting question. Many of us were around in the 70s onwards. Fanzines were the main outlet then. The main difference is that forums like this seem full of people who don't actually go to games, for whatever reason. There are times when we are, basically, ridiculed for still going. That always happened to some extent, as people in work, ( egg-chasers, supporters of Man Utd, Liverpool, etc.), slagged off the City. BITD we were, on the whole, left to get on with supporting the City. Forums like this give a voice to all sorts. It can get quite negative, and depressing, at times. We were always realists, ( you have to be, supporting Cardiff City!), and perhaps we had fewer illusions of grandeur, but it seemed more fun.

That's a good point about lots on here not actually going to games. It would probably be better if it was a higher percentage of match going fans on here - less negative. Most of us that still go really enjoy it. Having said that you can still be a fan and not go to games - we're all interested in City to some extent.

There would be pages dedicated to ccfc such as Clemo out, Durban out etc

Add in a Nigel Vaughan appreciation society and a Graeme Withey is a donkey site and the social media sites would do a roaring trade.
