Sky Bet League One hotshot Adam Armstrong signs for Coventry City after his loan from Newcastle United
LLORIS: POCH MADE ME STAY
Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has admitted he was contemplating his future at the club until Mauricio Pochettino arrived at White Hart Lane.
The France captain signed a new five-year deal shortly after Pochettino's appointment in the summer of 2014, crediting the Argentine at the time and believing that Spurs would progress under his stewardship.
"I've flourished completely here,"he told L'Equipe."I can even say that since the arrival of Pochettino I found new benchmarks.
"I had not felt a strong club, but rather an unstable one, with a coaching change in the middle of the season, just the opposite of what I like to see in football. I was actually asking myself questions until Pochettino arrived."
NEIL LOOKING TO BUY
Norwich manager Alex Neil says he is looking forward to strengthening his squad while the transfer window is open.
Asked when he would be looking to make additions, Neil said: "Pretty much as soon as we can.
"There have been a lot of discussions ongoing and we will see what we can manage over the course of this month."
SILVA BACK TO REAL?
Marseille are weighing up the possibility of ending Lucas Silva’s loan spell at the club early and sending him back to parent club Real Madrid.
Brazilian midfielder Lucas Silva, who moved to Real Madrid from Cruzeiro during the last winter transfer window, joined Marseille on a season-long loan in August.
Although he featured prominently at the start of his loan, Silva has fallen out of favour at the Ligue 1 club. He has not started a match since November 8.
According to L’Equipe, Marseille have been disappointed with the 22-year-old midfielder and are even considering returning the youngster to Real Madrid before the transfer window slams shut on February 1.
ELNENY DEAL IMMINENT
A look ahead to the transfer lines making Sunday's back pages now, and Mail on Sunday are reporting FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny will complete his move to Arsenal next week for a fee of £5 million.
MATTHEWS NEEDS NEW CLUB
Norwich City goalkeeper Remi Matthews will try to find another club after his loan spell at Burton came to an end.
READING WANT PERMANENT MOVES
Brian McDermott has said Reading have exhausted the loan system and would need to recruit permanent players if they are to add to their squad during the transfer window.
The Royals already have six players on loan from other other clubs and speaking after his side's 1-0 victory over Bristol, McDermott said he was open to adding to his squad.
"If we’re going to strengthen, in my opinion it needs to be players who will come in and be Reading players. That’s important,” he said.
ROBINSON REFUSES DONS MONEY
MK Dons manager Karl Robinson says he won't spend money this January if it means jeopardising the club. Robinson has been assured by his chairman that money is available to help the club stave off relegation from the Championship.
But speaking after MK Dons' 1-1 draw with Leeds, Robinson said he refused the backing: “I had a long chat with the chairman and he said money would be there, but I said no," Robinson said.
"It may have to come out of next year’s budget and I won’t put my club in jeopardy. We’ve been at a club today that knows all about the pitfalls of overspending."
The manager also confirmed Diego Poyet will head back to West Ham after cutting short his season-long loan at Stadium mk.
GRAY CLAUSE MET
Birmingham boss Gary Rowett has confirmed to Sky Sports that an un-named Premier League club - thought to be Leicester - has triggered the buy-out clause in Demarai Gray's contract.
Up to ten clubs were reported to be interested in signing the highly-rated teenager but it is believed the Foxes who the Blues have given the player permission to speak to.
Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri had previously refused to be drawn on speculation linking the England U20 winger with a move to the King Power stadium amid interest from Bournemouth.
JONES EYES FOREIGN MOVE
Kenwyne Jones has almost certainly played his final game for Cardiff City.
The 31-year-old Trinidad and Tobago international was left out the Bluebirds' squad to face Blackburn today and manager Russell Slade has confirmed the striker could soon be on the move.
"At this stage all I can tell you is he’s in dialogue with another football club abroad," Slade told the club's YouTube channel.
WARD EXTENDS YEOVIL DEAL
Yeovil captain Darren Ward has extended his stay with the Sky Bet League Two club until June 2017.
The 37-year-old has played 12 times in all competitions for the Glovers since moving to Huish Park in November.
Manager Darren Way told the club's official website: "This is fantastic news for the football club.”

Ipswich have loaned Paul Digbyfrom Sky Bet League One Barnsley until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has managed just three appearances for the Tykes this campaign - the last back in October - but will join Mick McCarthy's side as they seek to gain promotion to the Premier League.
POSH SNAP UP WILSON
Bolton defender Lawrie Wilson has moved to Sky Bet League One club Peterborough on a one-month loan deal.
Wilson, who has not played for Bolton since a 4-1 loss to Huddersfield on September 19, was named among Posh's substitutes for their clash with Sheffield United on Saturday.
STEER BACK WITH TERRIERS
Huddersfield have re-signed Aston Villa goalkeeperJed Steer on loan until the end of the season.
The 23-year-old spent three months on loan with the Terriers this season - making 16 appearances - and he returns in time for Saturday's trip to Bolton.
Huddersfield boss David Wagner told the club's official website: "Now the winter window is open, we decided that we wanted another senior goalkeeper with Joe Murphy being the only one in our squad.”

Cambridge have signed West Ham youngster Lewis Page on a one-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old has yet to feature in the Premier League for the Hammers, but he played in three Europa League qualifying round matches in the summer.
Boss Shaun Derry is thrilled to secure the defender's services. He told the club's official website: "We are delighted to announce the signing of another highly rated young player from a Premier League club.”
