" RUSSELL SLADE LIVES TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY "

AFTER GRABBING 3pts FROM A MUST WIN GAME

Cardiff City players walked out to a more than half empty stadium and were booed by some of the fans at half/time.

Thankfully a Joe Mason goal saved the day :ayatollah:

I must say what a boring game, but we won and City climb the table to 9th, 4pts off play-offs :ayatollah:

CARDIFF CITY 1 BLACKBURN 0 :ayatollah:

Crowd 14,385 Away Support 480 Blackburn approx

City Team : Marshall, Peltier, Connolly, Manga, Malone, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Noone, Pilkington, Watt and Mason.

Subs : Moore, Fabio, Dikgacoi, O'Keefe, Whittingham, Ameobi and Macheda

City today faced a Blackburn side that had just come out of a transfer embargo and had been struggling to put a quality side together, apparently their football lately has been at its lowest for years. So today City had the chance to get back on track and nothing but a win would be accepted by the Cardiff faithful.

A bright start from City and for the first 25 mins City once again did all the attacking, but only making the Blackburn Rovers goalie make one save. For the rest of the first half the game became quite a bore, with some City fans even booing the team off at half-time

Half-time City 0 Blackburn 0

A quite start, but thankfully after a shot by Noone saved by their goalie which rebounded out for Joe Mason to score 1-0 58th minute :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

A great shot by Tony Watt in the 71st min, saved by the Blackburn goalie.

77th minute Peltier went off injured to be replaced by Fabio.

80th minute Okeefe was brought on for Joe Mason

87th min Ameobi on for a tired Tony Watt

FULL TIME CARDIFF CITY 1 BLACKBURN 0

What I find interesting about our crowds and looking at that photo, is how badly the drop in crowd has been in the grand stand, as the people who usually populate that area of the ground and not like the normal 'man in the street' supporter, in that they tend to be looking for a different experience from game attendance. The other areas, are populated by supporters who have always valued being able to stand and sing, the banter etc, just as much if not more than watching the actual football, which has been curtailed, but that hasn't been affected in the Grand Stand, as it's never been that way. You would also expect the supporters there to be a little more sympathetic towards Tan, as they tend to give more leeway to the business and political nature of the club. Yet, that area of the ground seems to be one of the worst affected areas, the corporate side included. Again, you do corporate for the dining and business/social experience more than the football, so why has that also been decimated?? It was far better attended in the seasons before we even got promotion?

Annis, a win is a win.

I don't like the way we play (players don't either by the look of it) lucky Blackburn were really bad but these teams we should be putting 3 or 4 on.

Will RS change it next week? God I don't think he really knows himself.

Hull and Wolves both away next, lose both those and our season is finished.

I don't think a lot of people will return until RS is gone and we have a decent replacement!

Jon, I 100% don't believe that, be lucky to get 22,000 in our 33,000 stadium.

Yes we would pack out for Man United/Liverpool, but they will have only come to see them.

Slade is in no danger, fans need to realise that the primary objective of the hierachy is to obtain a sustainable business model whilst maintaining championship status, wether this results in the club being sold on or an ongoing business concern for the owner. Slade is acheiving this and has been successfull at doing this and will be allowed to continue. I not a fan of slade by any means, he is tactically inept, the players he has brought in have been a waste and he is not getting the best out of a talented squad. What i cant understand is why he would be allowed to bring players in when we have untested players like john, kennedy, healy and others out on loan- surely inergrated into the matchday squad they would do just as well as the deadwood bdnch we had today

I see little point in Slade going if the Despot remains in the big house .

We need Tan to sell up before the recovery can begin !
