Jason Perry

Just listening to Jason Perry at half time, in his words we now have pace and movement up front with Mason and Watt.
Just shocked to see Mason playing, he's been shocking all season no effort or commitment, worrying times ahead.

You mean the player that scored the winner?

You having a laugh?

Mason always puts in a shift sadly he lacks pace. I think he will score goals though as proven. He is our top scorer this year.

Perry just spoke after the game, said we slightly improved and made the correct substitutions and we got the 3pts :ayatollah:

Annis correct me if I'm wrong but is that the first time we've taken a striker off and brought on a cm to see a win out?

A cm who basically played the same position as Mason.

He didn't. It looked that way when he immediately came on, but they quickly settled into a 5 man midfield.

Come on Mason. Only another 9 goals this season to prove me right. Anything can happen :ayatollah:

Joe Mason had a decent game today - chased everything and a goal. Needs to repeat it next time.

I'm not a massive mason fan - he appears to be lacking 'something' maybe a little acceleration or strength to get defenders out of the way like watt does. That said, I think he would have pinched a few goals in recent games where the ball was bumbling around in the box out of KJ's acceptable running/stretching range.

Mason is Shit we need a mobile target man

Mason is a decent squad player, but not good enough to lead the line week in week out

If he had speed then he would be a good striker, but he offers nothing outside the box.

Would have Watt scored that ? I assume yes, any that type of striker would have.

Watt's lack of finishing is a bit concerning, makes great runs, gets into scoring positions, but isn't putting them away, hopefully it's just confidence and when he gets his confidence he will be ok, or he could be another in a long line of talented forwards that can't finish when it matters
