5 can go £££££ saved and 5 can come in

Fri Jan 01, 2016 7:07 pm

That's right IMO 5 players can / should go

Marshall £5million minimum debt reduction and at least £25 grand a week wages saved plus Moore will do the job well enough

Dikgicoi can't see us getting a fee but must be on £20/25 grand a week injury prone and takes too long to get back to fitness ralls guners o keefe pilks and get Tommy o Sullivan back

Whitts might a get fee of around half a million but would save at least £25k a week in wages and in ralls we have his replacement

Noone anything near a million let him go another £20k saved on wages and Kennedy will be fine if given a run

Jones is a no brainer for me won't get a fee but huge saving on wages £40k a week including bonuses etc

It would of been 6 out but I'm not sure we can send ameobi back

That would bring in £6/£7 million reduce our debt by £5million use £2 million on watts ,vela and 2 / 3 loan signings wages

Also with savings of £135k a week ,,less watts and vela wages of about £12.5k a week each that would save us over 100 grand a week

Time we as fans got in the real football world and stop and think of the finances involved before saying our club lacks ambition
Yes they have been saying play offs are our target ,but what do you want them to say

Happy new year to all on here hope you all get what you wish for

My wish for my team Cardiff city the bluebirds is to get younger hungry cost effective players ,wanting to play for us with passion and determination ,consolidating our place in the championship ,reducing our debt as quick as possible ,and slowly building towards getting back to the premier league asap :ayatollah: :bluebird: :bluescarf:

You know I want slade out but money talks £120k a year not sure who would come in on that
But I've just shown a saving of £100k a week so ten weeks saving would allow us to pay a new manager say £500k a year with upto £500k bonuses for success

We would have to pay the wages of any loan signings coming in as well probably, or a loan fee.

thats included in the £2million from sales
watt and vela would cost approx 500k each 3 loan signings on 20k a week for 16 weeks would cost just under 1 million at 960k

Too much maths for me  losing the players mentioned though would be a huge blow, would be gutted to see Marshall and Manga go.

I bet it will be someone within the circuit of his new Belgium club that advises Tan about a manager in continental Europe.

Suggesting selling Whitts and signing Vela. Indeed some fans need to get back to the real world.. Have SOME ambition why don't you!

Manga was not in the 5 players I suggested selling

whitts is passed his best and not getting younger
vela is young and has it all in front of him
and if you read my thread properly you would of seen I said ralls was whitts replacement ffs

Also tommy o sullivan is getting good experience at newport and has good reports from those in the know that he is a whitts type of player only much younger and very much cheaper and he defo has ambition as does ralls and surely does the likes of vela

So basically removing the spine of the team with those 5 leaving. The thought of watching out current team attracts little walk up crowd. I would predict a reduction further next year in both season tickets and walk up.

I'm all for integrating more youngsters. I think the club is doing a shit job doing so! But rather than loose what is our best players, and I'm not talking complimenting Slades idea of football. We need a spine, we need experience and we need quality. And players like Vela ain't it. We might just roll over and start in conference if this madness continue. Start with bringing in a manager who can use the squad we have, and then build a philosophy. The only signing we need is Watt. There is no need cutting any cost mid season, you do that through the summer, when you can actually get new players on the cheap or free.

I only agree with 1 of your suggested 5 but hey ho.
You have just about condemned the nucleus of the team, the spine and you say we can move forward with that, it's your opinion which you are entitled to of course but I disagree with it. Ralls is a replacement for Whitts?? Don't make me laugh, the last 3 games he has been diabolical and the goal we conceded last Tuesday was his fault from one of his misplaced passes. Steve I agree with trying to cost cut but you really do go beyond and that is my opinion. Marshall ain't going anywhere and rightly so  Whittingham ain't going anywhere and rightly so  Noone ain't going anywhere because Slade will NOT play Kennedy so Noone is one of the best wingers we have  Dikgacoi ain't going anywhere either  but Jones is off and that will save us a lot of money in itself. :ayatollah:

No-one would pay £5m for Marshall. We'd be lucky to get half that

If as you say all this cost cutting and savings happened in the next few weeks. I suggest you dont get your hopes up mate, football clubs and owners/chairmen dont run clubs like we would like them.
City are spending far too much money on agent fees and pay offs, and i dont think we are in any position to be guessing what the clubs finances are and who earns what. I agree its good that the club are being more responsible with the finances but i think ffp is forcing us into this position.
I always remember when we sold Earnie to West brom and Sam told some fans that we would be signing 3 players with the cash, and when nothing happened people were furious that they had been lied to. What i'm trying to say is that football is a million miles away from the simple equation of spending your income the way we all would like.

IMO the best person to make this possible is Craig Bellamy. He has the right passion and mentality and he'd be cheaper than most to replace Slade. He would have the respect from the players and most fans, he knows the modern game and has the desire to succeed.
If Tan has any ambition to get promoted, this season this needs to happen.
:sladeout: , Bellamy IN!

Whitts not first choice
Dikgicoi injured too much
Moore adequate replacement for Marshall
Noone in and out as a starter
And Jones has to go financially
Spine what spine

It's the future we need to concentrate on not the bloody passed
You can't change the passed its history
But you can influence the future

Remove the experience from our squad and we will end up plummeting.
Seen it before with teams.

The players you identify currently form a major part of our team/squad.

It's not a PC game.

Adeyemi, o'Keefe, were purchased supposedly to increase the youth and vitality of our team? Where are they?

Moore is not as good as Marshall who in my opinion is worth 10 points a season.

We have had a revolving door of strikers and all (including Jones) have been a major dissapointment. Watt is a player that will create chances given but at the moment he doesn't appear to be prolific.

If Cardiff City intend to remain solvent and in the Championship the fare on offer HAS to bring in more supporters than we are doing.

9 million parachute money reduction next year, even smaller crowds if the current state of play continues,
With a team of triers and youngsters we are the next Bolton, Blackpool, or even Pompey.

Worrying times.
