Does anyone over 12 actually take any notice of what is said on Twitter?

Personal abuse is pathetic - there is no need for it at any time.

However criticism of Slade's limitations as a manager, his tactics , his team selection etc are all perfectly valid.

I wasn't against Slade when he was appointed because he wasn't a "big name". My worry was that he had been a manager for over 700 games in the lower leagues, had little or no success during that time and no other club at Championship level or above had seen anything in him that would suggest that he would bring success to a club in the top two divisions.

Now I accept that his hands are tied. I accept that he's Tan's bitch. I accept that he's had instructions to cut the wage bill and he's done all that. But I would like my club to try to gain promotion from this league, not settle for mid table mediocrity and that is all that Slade appears to be capable of achieving.

I would love to know the "real" target Slade has been set by the club - Top six as is usually spouted by the man himself, Dalman and Choo (who seem to be very quiet at the moment, unlike at the start of the season where they were "seen" everywhere).

Or has Slade been told that as long as we are nowhere near the relegation places then the club hierarchy really couldn't give a shit what happens this season as long as more money is saved through transfers, loans out etc.

If Slade has been told that consolidation is all that is needed then he has a chance of achieving that.

The fans however are being short changed by the club who have chosen a manager who is clearly out of his depth in this division. He is doing the very best he can I have no doubt about that - but the best he can possibly do is take this club to mid table in the Championship.

theres a time and a place to give slade abuse. thats not when the team need lifting. have no time for fans like this anymore.
lots of f--k off to Luton chants to.
i personally really enjoyed the game last night. just fans like this really do put people off going. shame the stewards dont do nothing about it

Funny that in the grandstand old people who make zero noise start throwing abuse at him after we concede.

Its embarrassing at times

Some of it is nasty. Hope he doesn't get balled at in public. Its no wonder we are known as a nasty little club.

Whether or not you rate Slade, personal abuse is completely uncalled for. He did'nt force himself on Cardiff City, I'm sure he tries his best and wants to succeed as much as anyone else. Everyone is entitled to praise or criticise him depending on performances and results, but personal abuse is way over the top, especially when directed towards your own team or management.
