Booing at the end - What was that all about

Wed Dec 30, 2015 12:04 am

Couldn't remember the ref once except he was a little fussy over freekicks we kicked backwards, so our fans must have boo'd over drawing against a fellow mid table team.....

I know its not great down there at the moment, but booing is soooooooo modern football and the 15K    who were there are not plastic modern types are they ?

Remember the booing when drew at home against Blackpool 1-1 and Holloway went off on one about it.

Sections of our crowd did boo the team at the end, not as loud as some games this season, but I did not feel it was warranted.

Perhaps it was directed at Slade and the recent results rather than tonight's performance

Polo, I really hope it was more directed at him than the team as I thought they tried.

The recent results are shocking and Slade has to take the blame.

I got the impression that the booing was for Forest's time wasting at the end of the game, especially the right back who got treated for a head injury seconds before the end.

Definitely booing and Slade out chants in the Canton. Not my type of support sorry.

The only booing i can recall was the decisions that the ref was giving as per usual :laughing6: I didn't think there was any directed at Slade.

A few booed in the family stand around me.

I asked why they booed but none gave me an answer.

I booed due to Forest time wasting, as much as I would love Slade to go, I will always support the team :bluescarf: :sladeout:

A good performance from the team tonight. We controlled the game, passed the ball well and created some good chances. I thought it was a quite entertaining game, though we did run out of ideas near the end. The players cannot be criticised for their efforts so heaven knows what they must have thought at the end to hear the loud booing that took place. They certainly didn't deserve it. I am disappointed with the large number of fans who booed and I'm dumfounded as to what drives them to boo so loud after such a good game where the players gave their all. Perhaps they should think about giving the boys some positive support instead. :bluescarf:

We didn't win 4-0 that's why, cringeworthy fans we have that's why

Frustration

Wed Dec 30, 2015 9:35 am

I think people booed out of frustration. Teams that come will park the bus - we know that - Slade should know that - and he should have a plan to combat it - that is what managers are SUPPOSED to be able to do isnt it ?

Our fans are the biggest joke around. Instead of supporting the team for the effort against a team which were unbeaten in 6 and clearly looking for a point. In the Canton they sang Russell Slades barmy army and then want him out at the end of the game. So much for wanting to be in league 2. We are playing okay in the championship and still cant please our fans. How do you think it makes the players feel when we boo them every game?

Only a small section of fans booed, i think the majority thought we played very well, and for once Slade was positive in his substitutions. We should have won this game against a poor Forest side though :ayatollah:

The team did not deserve to be booed. They battled hard and clearly we deserved to win. I won't boo a team if they try and city players did try last night no question.

Whilst I was not one of the ones booing, I can't say I can blame people ...I haven't been to a game in a while as I have been away and I genuinely feel sorry for people having to watch that drab week in week out. £24 to watch that - you must be having a laugh. With all the sloppy passes 10 yards behind the player and scrappy play, it genuinely didn't look much better than Sunday league out there to me - I'm genuinely amazed at how low the standard seemed! - I have always been a Kenwyne fan (despite his massive wages) but last night I found myself thinking "don't pass to him" cause he was absolutely useless, the sooner he is gone, the better, Noone too was predictable and got found out. Even though we had a decent amount of possession, I didn't think we offered much of a threat in front of goal. Tony Watt impressed my with his willingness, but we need someone else up there with him who's not going to be anonymous.

As a side note; I thought that young lad Oliver Burke looked good - big, strong and had Fabio struggling with his pace. Would take him here.

Defo directed at Slade. I will never boo my club, my team, but until Slade goes (and Vinnie the Red), we are going nowhere.
