I agree with you.
I also think we could do a lot better if people dropped their expectations down to a realistic level and actually got behind the manager and team.
However it seems to me that most have never given Slade a fair crack and want Bellamy.
Same fans will be moaning like hell as soon as Bellamy loses a few games.
Ironically we are playing much better than earlier in the season, but getting worse results.
Maybe need to get KD back in to secure midfield.
Mind you he wasn't even in the bench again tonight, with OKeefe as cover for CM

Ole was Dalman's choice.
Tan picked Slade and there is nothing to suggest he won't pick the next guy.

Wouldn't cost the earth, made his mistake and learnt at a lower level, understands the modern game.
But manager recruitment is not my job, get rid of Slade and young and leave Trollope in there and ask Bellers to coach the first team....Its not impossible...
We are not going up nor down, but wasting valuable time in developing a pattern and identity again....

He offered DJ the job after Malky was sacked, but DJ likes to spend and I think the constraints are tougher now than when they were under Ridsdale.

When DJ spent money, it was never really BIG money.
Never thought I'd want DJ back, but he could work some magic with the current squad I'm sure.
Kenwyn will be gone soon as he wont accept the new offer of £25k a week, so whoever is in charge will need to bring in a new striker pronto.

Chopra, Bothroyd, Loovens,Johnson, Whitts, Mcirmack, Mcphail, Burke.etc, etc
People keep using budget as an excuse for Slades shit signings but none of the above cost more than Doyle.
If DJ had been give the money Malky had we'd have gone up in style

I think a lot of the fans on this forum have a lot of football knowledge, and could see from day one the sort of season that was ahead of us this time round. There are still a few on here who are either too blinkered to see the whole picture, or know very little about the game, and still think we can be playing in the Premiership next season. I think even these people will soon realise that this club will be playing Championship football next season, as the play offs will be off our radar by the end of next month. There is no point in getting rid of Slade at this point, he is doing what he was expected to do when Tan appointed him.

Totally disagree. Hull, Derby, Boro and Burnley aside our squad is as good as anyone's. Certainly as good as Ipswich or Brightons who occupy the other play off positions.
The manager is the main problem not the quality of the squad. The squad is good enough to get 5th or 6th but not under this tactically inept manager.

I'll give another prediction, and that is that Brighton won't be anywhere near the play offs either come the end of the season.

we know that we are sailing very close to the FFP limits and that is priority for the club to sort out at the mo, so a severance for Slade as well as paying a high earning manager cant happen.
Why people keep calling for Bellamy I have no idea, he has no experience, he is hot headed, he is a liverpool supporter and only thefact that is close to his home would be the only reason he would take the job, i see him in the same light as roy keane, he may be ok one day but to take this job on as his first would be a bad move for both parties.
We will not achieve a great deal over the next few years while this mess gets sorted, so let's get back to supporting the club.
I enjoyed most of the game today, I spent the first half in my seat in 116 , then took a trip over to the canton stand second half for some atmosphere, I do miss the singing. I think Ralls and Watt both had an off game today, had they been on form, we'd have taken all 3 points easy today. Ah well, on to Blackburn.

I agree with polo on this. With the squad of players we had at the start of season we are easily a top 6 side with the right manager in charge. Also the right manager would have signed better players than the shit pointless signing slade has made.
To answer carls question i would say craig bellamy. If he wasnt up for working under tan plenty of up and coming out there with modern footballing philosophies. Someone like gary rowett for example. Look what he would do with this squad of players.

He's working wonders with a very limited squad and budget at Birmingham.
