Where would Slade end up?

Tue Dec 29, 2015 12:14 am

If we're going to be realistic, Slade will last the season whatever happens.

He finished 11th last season despite cost cutting and we're on course for a top ten finish this season. Say we finish top ten or narrowly miss out on the play-offs but Russ does leave. Where do you think he would end up? Took Orient on the brink of promotion.

Has he done enough to earn another Championship job?

He might get a job with someone who's aim is to stay in the league, but certainly not a side aiming for promotion.

I know you're a Slade supporter, but you must surly realise that Slade is a lower division manager and always will be

Huddersfield or Milton Keynes

I think we have established Slade to be an average championship manager and he should be thankful for that.

Lower two divisions :bluebird:

I think Slade is punching above his weight in this division and is lucky to have inherited a huge squad which he was set out to task to whittle down to a more manageable squad size. He is still completing this task and because the Championship is so average this season has us floating near the play off zone. If he took over another championship team with a average squad he would struggle no doubt with his lack tactical ideas and the predictability of his dinosaur formation. But at league 1 he has the potential to win a play off final within 10 years.
