Are Cardiff City treading water under Russell Slade?
Yes, they're going nowhere
No, they're going backwards
No, they are making strides under him

We are going nowhere.

Somewhere between nowhere and backwards Annis, he may get lucky and we sneak top 6 but even if we do that we'd have no chance of winning the semi let alone a final.

Going backwards faster than an out of control freight train

One step forward then three sidesteps and four back.

Mid table guaranteed
Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:30 pm
January will see us lose some of the quality we have because yet again we don't use what we have to good effect. At present treading water after forest I fear the run of games and loss of some quality will see our season end and we will go backwards

treding water be fucked.
we are sinking as fast as the titanic

I just wish there was honesty from the club. I believe we are trying to get to ground zero. A point that makes us self sufficient and a "normal" club. In order to do this we need to shed a few superstars then so be it, we need to go back to finding and developing our own superstars, but with Vinny in the background we don't need to sell to survive.
I don't believe Tan is going anywhere.
Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:38 pm
We're going backwards. You only have to look at the crowds.
The fact of the matter is the only way is down while Slade is in charge and Tan is still around.

Mid table side mid table manager. Villa Newcastle and Sunderland in championship next year I'm afraid it will be mid table again at best next year.
Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:42 pm
Backwards since Tans rebrand. Fact.

This is a good point! Championship is poor this year and there for the taking! Next year we can look out!
Mon Dec 28, 2015 9:59 pm
Derby and Boro don't look poor to me.
Watford, Bournemouth and even Norwich are doing ok in the premier league, Villa may even be in league 1 the season after next cos they barely look good enough to survive in the championship. Sunderland are ageing are not up for the fight.
Next season is next season and you can't predict anything in the championship.

Almost every year the Championship gets accused of being "poor this season". In reality it's probably about the same every year. It's just that we have been competing in the top half of it for over ten years so we expect a certain level. In our eyes we are not performing this season but from say Bolton or Charltons point of view we would appear to be doing well.
Mon Dec 28, 2015 10:13 pm
Are where we should be. Look at Boro and Derby, took years to regroup and become promotion chasing teams again
Mon Dec 28, 2015 10:17 pm
The only thing consistent about Slade is how inconsistent we are.
We will win some cos we have good players mainly here before he arrived and then we will drop points cos he's a tactical fool.
I said earlier there's 4 better squads than us so we are playing for 5th and 6th but with this doughnut we are below par and will be up nearer 15th and 16th.

Annis,
You know my thoughts! We are still playing the same way as when RS first came.
It's a travesty to see such a talented squad be reduced to playing the wrong style and tactics.
It works in the lower divisions and we have been extremely lucky that this division is very weak this season, otherwise we would be in the bottom 3
Surely Mr Choo can see it or is this the 3-5 yr plan

[quote="binero"]million dollar question, Why does tan think he will get us up and in turn get some of the money he has spent on us back

[/quote
If he could sell us for say £40 million and loses £40 million on this folly, but doesn't need the £40 million why should he want to sell us. He'll run us as part of his football business unit.
Business is about adding value. English football adds value. You take your raw material or service in this example a young talented footballer coach him well, then expose him to the value added Championship or premier league.
I believe our model is to take a £100k belguim/balkan footballer who is scouted correctly send him to Cardiff City either get us promoted and add value.
That is why I am convinced Slade won't be here next season unless its Tan's DoF as we'll need a young talented coach but accepts the model.
In short i don't believe he is going anywhere

To be honest, we going no where at the moment...catch 22 is while where we are in the table...Slade is going nowhere. So What's the Solution?????

I like the sound of this sort of model Watford are reaping the rewards from something like this.

Why the fook we'd want this clown DOF I don't know.
It's not like he's been there and done it and is on his way down.
Can you imagine him being a DOF to a Bellamy?!?!? Do me a fooking favour
Stupid idea.

I said Tans DoF.
To my knowledge Slade hasn't skinned him like our previous managers. Can you imagine the Tan's direct line to Bellers !! me neither, there would have to be a Tan friendly middle man.
I would love him out, but i just don't think Tan will want to sack him due to the crap he spouted about him being the next Wenger

How can he be DOF when he is managing Luton?

An absentee owner and a mentally absent manager. We'll do no better than mid-table with a squad that, given the right manager, could make the play offs.
