Anyone remember the big black who used to come down to the city with west ham? also saw him when orient came down.it was in the late 70s.never forget he left the grange end walked across to the bob;straddled the fence where upon he took a bad beating off the city fans .meanwhile the police were trying to pull him down to arrest him totally bizarre

I remember the time a black fella along with another guy in a long leather coat got an absolute hammering against the fence at the bottom of the Bob bank. Must have been around 78/79 I reckon. About 10 minutes earlier, a kid of around 15 walked amongst the City boys in the middle of the Bob bank and he started calling on anyone who fancied a pop at him - I'm West Ham, I'm in your end, do something about it' he shouted. About 100 city fans moved away from him, forming a circle, then one guy maybe a year or two older, went in and gave him a right going over. The Hammers fan then promptly left the Bob with his girlfriend alongside him!!!
I remember it like yesterday. Not sure of date but it was an evening kick off

the black bloke was walking in the bob bank with about 15 of his mates they started singing down the front in front of where the telly cameras were loads of Cardiff boys poured down into them and they tried to bolt over the fence and on to the pitch,they all got out with considerable help from the police and the black fella got pulled back into the bob off the fence and had a good kicking before the coppers managed to save him .I felt a bit sorry for him at the time i was really worried he was going to get killed,he owes the swp a big thank you,I REMEMBER IT VIVIDLY BECAUSE HE WAS THE ONLY BLACK GUY WITH THEM AND HE WAS BIGbut he was well outnumbered and as i say the police saved him.
