Perhaps we should take a good hard look at the performances of our players.

Did'nt you say earlier in the season that Gestede was one of the worst strikers you've seen, that Ameobi was going to be a brilliant signing and that Doyle was going to be the answer to our goal scoring problem, as well as tipping us for automatic promotion. You are right, the table does'nt lie and that is why at the half way point there are 9 teams better placed than us for promotion. Hopefully that position will improve today with 3 points against Forest, but we need to strengthen in January otherwise the play offs will quickly be just a distant dream for us.

I honestly believe that with a more tactically astute manager in charge of the same group of players we would be safely 6 points better off.

I don't rule it out but we have to be within a point or two at the end of January to have a realistic chance with this same group of players and manager.

For the record; Gestede is still shit as Villa fans have found out, I still think Ameobi can do a job, and Doyle wasn't really given a fair crack but some lower league players just don't cut it I guess. Also I don't remember saying we would get automatics but I've always kept faith with Slade to make the play offs from the start.

3 points tonight and we're back in it. Fans shouldn't give up so easily when things can change in an instant. We're not quite as high as I thought we could/should be at Christmas but we're at least we're thereabouts.

Does it matter in the grand context of things either you think slade has done a good job and get of his back and give him until the end of the season where we can judge him properly then. Or slade is not your cup of tea and you don't think he deserves a chance to last until the end of the season. Why the constant changing of opinions all the time? If we lose we hate slade if we win he is the best thing since slice bread. Personally I think we have missed the window of opportunity to get rid of him now, and I don't really mind as he has done a ok job not great not awful but ok and deserves at least until the end of the season.

If bournemouth can win the entire thing this team can get to the playoffs.

This club will go nowhere with Russell Slade as manager , ok he has probably done all that Tan has asked but if Cardiff City as a club are serious about a play off spot we should get Bellamy in as manager till the end of the season ! Sometimes it's only a 'spark' that's needed to set things off !!
