Mon Dec 28, 2015 1:44 pm

Football News 24/7
French giants Marseille are interested in signing Cardiff City defender Bruno Ecuele Manga, according to Football Club De Marseille.

Monday 28th Dec 2015

The French side are underachieving in Ligue 1 this year and lie in 10th place despite consistently finishing in the top four for the preceding few seasons.

The club are looking to strengthen their defensive ranks in January and are eyeing up Cardiff City star Bruno Ecuele Manga, who arrived at the Welsh club, following relegation from the Premier League in 2014.

He won player of the season at the club last season but has been fairly average this year.

Manga's played in Ligue 1 before with Lorient, and could be sold in January, especially if Cardiff don't boost their promotion bid.

If they can't get get Manga, Michel may turn to Chelsea centre half Papy Djilobodji who is yet to get a shout at the Blues despite their struggles this season.

If we can get anything more than we played then get rid as long as the money is used for new players

I don't think Bruno Manga will leave in January or next season regardless whether we get promoted or finish mid table. When he signed for Cardiff he started a 3 year university course at university of south wales so I think for reasons that relate to matters off the pitch I cant see him kicking up a fuss to leave at least until the end of next season. And also we are not in a position where we need to sell Bruno manga, I think a lot of this speculation is to make out that things are a lot worse than they actually are.

Any of our players are available if the price is right, and I think anyone who thinks the money raised from a sale will be re-invested are going to be in for a nasty suprise. This will be part of our debt reduction, and Tan getting as much back as he can before getting out.

from what iv seem of him so far this year he is far from our best player. possibly down to rustiness from his injury set backs. hope he can regain last years form. but at the moment for me he is a weak link. i thought we looked stronger when Morrison was in side and hes a huge miss. Morrison must be 1 of our most under rated players by our fans

how can you say this untill what happens when the window is actually open ? nobody knows what his plans are as hes keeping so quiet. might suprise us all with a war chest ! or more than likely bring in 2-3 players from his foreign teams in more of a realistic view.

The guy should be playing week in week out. The fact donkeys like Morrison get ahead of him dazzles me!

Manga has played ONE full game this season - how can you judge him on that?

Did you go to the Birmingham game - he was absolute quality. Good on the ball and always looking to play a positive pass forward unlike Morrison who just passes to Peltier or lumps it up towards Kenwyne.

People say that Manga makes at least one major mistake each game but so do Morrison and Connolly. Morrison's problem is that he is too slow and frequently he has to be bailed out by Connolly when opposition players just waltz past him.

For me Morrison is one of the most OVERRATED players at the club.

Manga, Connolly and a fit Ben Turner would be ahead of him in my squad.

i did say im hoping its down to rustiness ! yes i went to birmingham and thought he waa very shaky coming on. gave the ball away a few times and nearly cost us. started against mk dons and was at fault for their winning goal. i really do hope its rustiness but could also be a confidence issue after not being picked for so long.

as for the quote by somebody above not yourself, selling Manga could be a way of balancing books to make us self sufficient which might be Tans plan. as we do have Turner and Morrison (both injured) connolly, semi ajayi and deji oshilaja.
i am a manga fan, but if we recoup money made it might be worth it

He is not suited to this level of football - Morrison and Turner types do well not his type of footballer.

He has also made just one too many mistake for my liking. He was culpable more than most at Stadium MK.

Get rid IMO.

Manga is a class act. Lack of regular gametime almost always affects a player upon their return but I have been nothing but impressed by the guy before his absence.

He's been injured most of this season.
On feckin international duty too.

How can that be Slades fault.

And when he got fit the 2 in possession were playing well and didn't deserve to be dropped.

If Morrison or Turner had played on Sat we might have won - same at Brum as he hindered Marshall prior to the pen
