Adam Le Fondre became a firm fans' favourite during his spell on loan at Bolton Wanderers last season, but he was equally popular with Rotherham United supporters between 2009 and 2011.

Le Fondre began his career with hometown club Stockport County back in 2004, scoring 20 goals in 73 appearances across three seasons in League One and League Two.

He moved on loan to Rochdale in January 2007 and his four goals in seven appearances earned him a permanent move, and he went on to score 42 goals in 112 appearances.

This form earned Le Fondre a move to then League Two side Rotherham, and he scored 30 goals in 51 appearances in his first season in Yorkshire, earning him a place in the PFA League Two Team of the Season. The following season he scored four goals in a 6-4 victory over Cheltenham, and racked up a total of 24 goals in 49 appearances, before scoring four in four games at the start of the 2011/12 campaign.

This form earned him a move to Championship side Reading, where he scored 12 goals in 33 games in his first season including scoring off the bench in a 2-2 draw that sealed the Championship title.

The following season Le Fondre scored on his Premier League debut in a 1-1 draw at Stoke City, then scored an equaliser in a 4-2 defeat against Manchester United. He set the record for the most goals scored as a substitute in a Premier League season as he scored 14 goals in 37 appearances despite Reading suffering relegation. He then scored 15 goals in 40 appearances back in the Championship, scoring a total of 41 goals in his time at the Madejski Stadium.

Le Fondre then made a move to Cardiff City in 2014, but despite scoring on his debut against Blackburn Rovers he only managed 3 goals in 21 appearances and joined Bolton on loan. He enjoyed a successful spell at the Macron Stadium, scoring 8 goals in 17 appearances and made it publicly known he was keen to return to the club this season but unfortunately finances made the move impossible.

Instead, Le Fondre is now on loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers and has scored 4 times in 11 appearances so far this season.

Those stats are wrong Robilaz. Way wrong. It's not 4 in 11 it's 3 in 20 for Wolves so he's struggling there too

He had enough starts and enough good chances to score more goals for us,no one to blame but the man himself!!!

I really wish you'd stop trying to push this nonsense on us Annis, he's got 3 in 17 for Wolves. Although originally misused for us, he was played up front and he made some horrendous misses from easy scoring positions. He moaned his way back to England and he's performing just as badly as he did for us.

Career average 14 a season including lower leagues! Had the games and loads chances but didnt take them its that simple.

And as you mention he is crap at Wolves he is shit now and he knows he is no matter how "North" he wants to be.

Spoke to a wolves fan who's a rep where i work and he said you can have him back if you want. He's not rated there either
