I can't get over the news that a FIFA ethics committe decided to ban both Blatter and Platini for only 8 years? when it should have been life. Although at Blatter's age 8 years could very well mean life. And why were they given such paltry fines and not ordered to pay the money back?

I can't get over the news that a FIFA ethics committe decided to ban both Blatter and Platini for only 8 years? when it should have been life. Although at Blatter's age 8 years could very well mean life. And why were they given such paltry fines and not ordered to pay the money back?

Because the judicial system in this world is ridiculous. It allows the rich to get away with what they do when they prosper and bend the rules yet is harsh enough that if an average person did it, it would severely impact them. Its not different to speeding tickets - you think 60 quid and 3 points is going to bother a rich person? Not a chance. For people at the other end of the ladder that is a lot of money. The world is an incredibly messed up place, and unfortunately, some of the most evil and screwed up people are in positions of power whereby they can put in place rules and mechanisms to keep it that way.

It is not over yet, the Yanks will see them in prison for corruption and fraud, will not be long now before they are prosecuted
