Injured Ben Turner returns to Cardiff City and could be out for FOUR months With City back paying his wages, my personal opinion is that he got injured at Coventry they should pay his wages

Well at the end of the day he is our player and he is back so we are going to have to pay his wages.

I'm sure that we would have insurance on him

Problem is hey took him because he has had injury problems to gain match fitness, they would never have took him if they had to pay for potential injury time.

I might be wrong on this but I think the following applies
Coventry return him to us
Cardiff then become responsible for his wages and pay his wages direct to him
Cardiff can then claim under their Medical Insurance for any sums paid to Ben Turner - (so essentially insurers pay it)
I dont think we will lose out.

A massive blow to our club, plus Turner himself. This may finish off his professional career.

Yes Wez, thankfully the insurance will pay it while he's out injured if he has the operation, which I believe he will be having.

Over the years there have been many injury prone players, Sturridge being a current example. Anyone remember Darren Anderton aka sicknote?

Awkward one I know but if Ameobi got injured and we had the chance to send him back we would!
Some might say send him back anyway

It's not how football works. It wasn't a season long loan deal so why should they pay season long loan wages? It went up to January the loan move. If a player got injured on international duty for us would you expect them to pay ____ wages?
