In fairness to Mason I nearly posted exactly the same topic but it looks like a Twitter hoax at the moment.

It looks like Trevor Sinclair posted it earlier today as a windup and got loads of the twitterati biting.

The Star and Express fell for it too.

To be fair Van Gaal's sacking is close.

If he's sacked it will be in the next 48 hours, so keep a look out.

Even if he hasn't been he will be very soon.

Next two games are Stoke away and Chelsea at home. Lose those two and he's gone.

Could be gone if they lose at Stoke.

Glaringly obvious Mourinho will go there.

This rumour got started by ex player Jan Arge Fjortoft - I just heard him talking about it on 5 Live and he reckons it comes form a trusted source but wouldn't elaborate. Didn't hear all the interview I'm afraid but he was quoted on the content as being accurate.

Well it certainly has got everyone talking, but surely he will be sacked soon anyway.
