' WHAT WILL WE ACTUALLY DO ? '

What business will Slade actually do next month?

What is not open to debate is that the Bluebirds will sign Tony Watt on a permanent deal.

Expect a fee in the region of £1m to be spent when the striker’s loan spell from Charlton comes to an end on January 16.

The deal is already in place with just some further negotiations needed to land the man who has proved a big hit since he arrived last month.

The Bluebirds will also look for another striker and expect a pacey winger too. That is someone who is very fast of course. It is something most will agree the Bluebirds need.

Recent injuries to Sean Morrison and Ben Turner mean Slade could well find himself looking for a centre-half too if only to act as cover.

Whoever we do sign, they need to be players who will make an instant impact on the first team. No buy then for a mill and loaning them out or buying more squad players.

This season the Championship is wide open and any team that can put a consistent run of wins together is in with a chance of promotion, and that includes us.All we need is Tony Watt and a tigerish ball winner in midfield and then with the quality in the existing squad we are down to one thing and that's desire. If we want it enough its there for the taking in my opinion. Our fans will get behind the players when they sense that the players deserve their support they will push on to get them over the finishing line.
