What business does everyone think Cardiff need to do next month?

Throw a stick at a crowd of Cardiff fans and, apart from being arrested, you will hit a fair few individuals who believe the main target the Bluebirds need in January is a ‘box-to-box’ midfielder.

Ask for an example of who and the name Kevin Nolan will surely pass someone’s lips.

It is hardly surprising really, midfield has been a problem area for the Bluebirds for most of the season.

Only recently has Slade managed to get the balance right by dropping Peter Whittingham and finally tucking Joe Ralls inside.

With Aron Gunnarsson’s form unpredictable, the calls for an all-action midfielder are unlikely to subside next month. Supporters are talking about another striker too and a winger to perhaps finally inject some pace into the side.

You could argue a right-back might be handy too.

What we need is pace.

I know whats needed but its not going to happen

A striker, winger, box to box midfielder and a full back? Not asking for much are we? What we, the supporters think we need don't mean shit to a tree. My guess is, is that we'll get next to nothing! God knows how much in debt, gate receipts right down, next to nothing is what we should expect.

he has been training and keeping his fitness up and he will do a job for us to get us where we want to be and then we can look elsewhere
You have your opinion and I have mine, 34 is not that old for the remaining 5 months of the season

Saying that signing a player who won't have played a competitive match for 8 months come January, will get us promoted/top six, is in my opinion, ridiculous at best. But like you say. Its you're opinion, and you're entitled to it.

We are obviously not going to spend much and would rather blow it all on watt as he could be the crucial signing. If slade can then play manga regularly and somehow come up with the answer to getting more effort and consistency out of Jones then with the depth of our squad I think we could get close.

I would like to see a leader brought into the squad. kevin Nolan is getting on but could be invaluable in helping us get over the line. if not him someone with experience of the league.

Marshall for me is hands down best keeper in the league, but not a captain. I would like to see a central defender or midfielder as captain.

We definitely don't need a winger, we got two young and talented ones in the reserves, Matty Kennedy and Kadim Harris are imo quality players.

They both have pace, a good delivery into the box and a bit of trickery to go with it, tbh I think we are wasting their talent with them on the bench and in the reserves .

I know Slade won't play them in the league right now but he really should play them in the upcoming FA cup match, so they can remind him of what they got and that they deserve a chance in the first team.

Right now I don't feel that Nooney and Pilks are doing enough in matches and that we need to try something different.

Warnock or Holloway would do so much more with the players we have in 1 season than Slade could do in a life time
