I cant fathom why people cant comprehend he got a career threatening (ending in reality) injury. Its like saying "Brazil people said Pele was the best in the world, but he wont even get into Bath FC side now", it is irrelevant to the time in which he was good. If he remained injury free he would have probably gone on to Champions League football for a mega transfer deal, he had already broken into the Spain team. The man has chronic ankle injury that was compounded by Laudrup not resting him when it was needed. I cant understand why people are so shocked he isnt good anymore, neither would Ronaldo be if you gave him a chronic ankle injury.
