' WITH 6 MONTHS TO GO UPDATE ON WELSH SQUAD '
Goalkeepers:
Wayne Hennessey has become the Palace no.1 in the past few months and looks to be the best keeper at the club, after putting in some superb league performances.
Danny Ward's Aberdeen are currently sitting second in the Scottish Premiership. Ward is currently the no.1 and hasn't let a goal in since 28th November. Owain Fon Williams at Inverness is also the goal keeping first choice but unfortunately doesn't have a great defence in front of him. However, his performance against Celtic that I caught last month was very assuring and put in some good saves.
Defenders:
Swansea have been having a torrid time in the Premier League, not winning in their last 7 games and only keeping 3 clean sheets throughout the entire season. Ash Williams and Neil Taylor continue to be first team regulars and finally stopped their losing run against West Ham on Sunday, with a 0-0 draw. James Collins featured in that game at centre half for the Hammers and looked comfortable in his position. Although not a first team regular, he has stepped in for the last two games and kept two clean sheets.
Ben Davies hasn't quite nailed down the left back position at Spurs and keeps rotating with Rose but is still getting plenty of game time. James Chester has only started 1 game throughout the whole season under Pulis at West Brom, and that was in August so will almost definitely be looking for a loan move in January.
At Reading, Gunter continues to be the first choice right back and Adam Henley is still Blackburn's first-choice right back. Jazz Richards continues to impress for Fulham, despite the departure of Kit Symons and our other right back, Matthews has only played once for Sunderland this year.
Midfielders:
Wenger has finally decided to play Aaron Ramsey in the central role for Arsenal and has flourished, grabbing 2 goals and 2 assists in their last 3 matches. Joe Allen is not quite a Liverpool regular under Klopp but was tremendous against Bordeux last month in their 2-1 win.
Andy King has been having the time of his footballing career with Leicester who still sit on top of the Premier League table, 5 points clear. King has not received many of the plaudits but has played well every time I've watched, including their 3-2 win over Everton this weekend. Joe Ledley got a rare 90 minutes against Stoke yesterday but will probably be pushing for a loan next month if he is to keep his match sharpness in preparation for June.
At Forest, David Vaughan has been a very good first team regular but on loan Jonny Williams is more of a rotation player and has not got a goal or an assist. David Cotterill is currently injured at Birmingham, youngster Emyr Huws has been playing very well for Huddersfield and so has David Edwards for Wolves. Shaun MacDonald, who didn't make the last Wales squad has just 1 appearance for Bournemouth this season.
Forwards:
Gareth Bale has ended 2015 in stunning style, grabbing 4 goals and an assist in Madrid's 10-2 win over Rayo Vallecano this weekend. It is fair to say he has not had the best few months at Madrid but what a way to go into the winter break and can hopefully retain his form throughout the rest of the season.
Robson-Kanu has recovered from the injury he suffered playing for Wales a few months ago and popped up with an assist yesterday in their 1-0 win over Blackburn. Sam Vokes popped up with a goal on Saturday but that was his first since the beginning of October.
Simon Church is a rotation player for MK Dons, coming off the bench in most league matches. Tom Lawrence is used as a squad player on loan at Blackburn and has got 2 goals and 2 assists this year, Tom Bradshaw has got 9 this year and George Williams is only playing reserve matches at the moment for Fulham.

It's a shame for Wales, but I think Williams who has been so good for Wales looks to have peaked and is in the start of decline, still every cloud has a silver lining and Swansea are looking weaker in defence !!!
