CHRIS COLEMAN TO OPEN CONTRACT TALKS WITH FAW IN NEW YEAR
The Football Association of Wales boss Jonathan Ford has confirmed formal talks will begin next month with Chris Coleman over a new deal.
The Welsh manager has made it clear he would be happy to extend his current deal, that runs out after the Euro 2016 finals, for a further two years covering the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
They are now expected to begin in the New Year, with Ford telling Wales Online: "We're relaxed and we've been clear about where we stand; Chris has done a fantastic job and I want him to continue to do a fantastic job both in the Euros and beyond.
"There will come a point in the new year when hopefully we'll conclude it swiftly."
