Get Nigel Pearson, Roy Keane or Craig Bellamy in at the end of the season.

Roy Keane
Can you imagine him getting one of Tans phonecalls discussing the team for the weekend.
He wouldnt last 2 minutes here.

Fair point.
In fact, is there any realistic alternative who is good enough? Like you say Keane wouldn't put up with it and I doubt many others would.
Wouldn't be shocked if Bellamy takes over, as the OP says.

No I dont think there would be many who would put up with it tbh.
I dont think its beyond the realms of possibility that Bellamy will be coming in the summer either.

The main reason ended up with slade imo because he's a nodding dog unlike others who might have taken the job. the Dundee manger summed it up for me turning us down and stating why he did before slade come in

Yes, Tan listens to Dalman. He knows that we need to get the buzz back, it turns out in the end we are not that loyal after all. Slade has only done half his job. We will stay in the championship but we still have a lot of players on the books.
I don't think Tan will want to sack Slade, I believe he wants to show the world he is a man of his word and not this clueless nut case he is portrayed as and a contract is a contract. He'll just see it out and be given the option of a job upstairs.
I have always believed he has been holding the keys for bellers
if we finish in the top six this season and don't go up i think Slade will be given another chance because i would think he would deserve it and if we finish short then Slade will leave and Bellamy to come in..

Have I missed something being said off record etc or are people just adding up the fact he is helping training the kids and was a guest at a game or two and putting two and two together?
Genuine question by the way not having a dig at anyone who thinks he will be our next manager

He's said on Monday night football that he is looking to become a manager of somewhere near him like Cardiff or Wales and says "He can do something about it".

To be fair slade has reduced the wage buget whilst keeping us competitive, i'd now likley Bellamy to come in and inject some youth and enthusiasm as well as some fresh ideas (like not 4-4-2 every minute of every game).
Like someone said Bellamy would demand effort every game, I would imagine he would build a team similar to Malky where the players would run through walls for each other.
