DONS keeper James Shea says former loanee stopper Ben Wilson can bounce back after being sent home to Cardiff.

The stand-in is back in Wales amid a row about his tweets after he received online abuse from an AFC Wimbledon fan.

He came in for abuse on social media with one fan tweeting him to say: “I'm glad you think it's funny, the teams already got enough c**** who don't care.”

Wilson hit back by saying: “Got enough of them as supporters like you also.

“You're still paying to watch every week and helping towards my wage, I'm laughing and you're losing out.”
Wilson returned to the Bluebirds on Monday following a string of comments, after he had been criticised for his
performances.

But Shea said: “He will learn from the experience. He is a good keeper, there is no denying that. He said a few things. He made a mistake. He has to move on.

DONS keeper James Shea says former loanee stopper Ben Wilson can bounce back after being sent home to Cardiff.

The stand-in is back in Wales amid a row about his tweets after he received online abuse from an AFC Wimbledon fan.

Wilson returned to the Bluebirds on Monday following a string of comments, after he had been criticised for his
performances.
But Shea said: “He will learn from the experience. He is a good keeper, there is no denying that. He said a few things. He made a mistake. He has to move on.

“As a team, we have to put everything behind us and out of our minds - Saturday’s defeat, our run and the decision about the club moving back to Wimbledon.
“Our focus should just be on getting three points at Newport. And it would be a big three points. We want to be pushing up the table.
“We are still only five points behind the play-off places.
“It is not all doom and gloom. We have got a good team, even if we have not showed our full potential yet.
“It only takes a couple of results and you are back in it.
“After our defeat by MorecAmbe, there was a gloomy mood but then three games later, after three wins, we were right back in it.
“I want to return to playing as soon as possible. Hopefully, I can put my case for inclusion by training well and recovering through playing U21 games.”
Wilson was criticised for misjudging a Jerome Okimo free-kick which gave Stevenage all three points in the 2-1 defeat at Kingsmeadow on Saturday.
He was critICsed in one tweet but only made the situation worse by replying - though he later apologised for his words.

The exchange began when Nick @langwithboy tweeted to Wilson: “your profile picture seems to indicate you can catch a football, is it false advertising???”
added: “Surprised Wilson managed to catch the train to Manchester last night. it’s been emotional, enjoy cardiff reserve matches for the rest of the season.”
Wilson said: “enjoy been a nobody for the rest of your life!!” And he later said: “One mistake leads to a thousand wannabes jump on a band wagon like.”

Then he added: “shouldn’t of tweeted... Out of character!! apologies”

He must learn from this.
