Leeds United midfielder Tom Adeyemi has played a key role since Steve Evans took charge.
Steve Evans has raved about on loan midfielder Tom Adeyemi’s form on Leeds United’s official website.
Adeyemi has been a key part of Leeds’ first-team since Evans took charge at Elland Road, with the central midfielder’s dynamism catching the eye.
The Cardiff City midfielder was not at his best in the Whites’ most recent match against Wolverhampton Wanderers though.
Leeds beat Wolves 3-2 at Molineux, but Evans admits that Adeyemi’s illness restricted his ability to impress.
“That big fella has obviously got a little virus in his system or something like that because he has been awesome in the times he has played apart from one other game,” Evans said.
Adeyemi actually was withdrawn early at Molineux, and Evans says that the powerful midfielder was very tired when he came off the pitch.
“He couldn’t track one of their runners,” Evans said. “The medical team went over and said ‘he’s feeling a little bit lethargic but he’s fine’ but I had made my decision before the medical staff went on.”
Leeds’ performance at Wolves was arguably their most impressive of the season, and they were fully worth the three points.
The Whites could have won more comfortably if Chris Wood’s finishing had been better, but in the end they were made to sweat.
Despite Adeyemi’s good form, he would not have been able to criticise his teammate for his profligacy too much, as he has also been guilty of missing big chances recently – most notably against Charlton Athletic.
Evans still seems delighted with Adeyemi’s form however, and it could be that Leeds move to make his switch a permanent one in January.

I hope we don't sell him and get him back here. With the right management and in the right midfield set up he could become an important player for us.

He took him off after 30 mins against Wolves & it turned the game in Leeds favour

Adeyemi is our missing link. Imagine what he could do picking ball off Manga, pushing up the field, distribution to Watt, bing bang bosh!!!

Mixed reviews I've been hearing! He's had some good games, but fans are calling him lazy! Doesn't offer enough! Drifts in and out of games!!
As pointed out above, he was subbed in the first half v wolves then Leeds looked a better balanced team!

I never thought I would ever read a stat stating a centre midfield player failed to make a single block during his 20 appearances for us, but that's what we had with Tom Adeyemi. He's not good enough on the ball and he isn't good enough off the ball either. I hope Leeds pay the 1 million for him in January.

So he would do something previously he has shown absolutely no indication he was capable of.

Annis an Carl must be on some sort of deal with his agent..... Glad they are happy with them, we'll take the million for him and give it to Charlton for Watt.
On reflection i can't see why Slade let him go. Quality kick and rush player, looks an athlete although can't pass or trap though.

Steve Evans is a manager like Sherwood, Klopp goes ott with the praise. Not a problem with that but we just have to be aware that he is over inflating performancesof him.
Leeds fans are twats. Don't listen to them.

Was pretty average for us. If we get our money back for him, all well and good.

Sell him not good enough.
