Yes it is, but many have done it. You lot didn't of course. £180m in debt and you finished bottom. Don't worry about your little brothers down west, we'll be fine. :thumbright:

We had 19 points at Xmas in our premier league season , still went down. So 14 points and 3 points off the next team (if Newcastle win) doesn't bode well for the our little cousins down West.
Could turn out to be a very good Xmas ,all good things come to those that wait .

Not looking at all good for them, 3 points adrift and huge differences amongst the team I hear. Still, 2 swift relegations would put things right. Status quo. :bluescarf:
Not a pot to piss in either. Still you have seen it worse I'm sure 64.
Ps
Still 180 million

And what good things are you waiting for from your own club then? If your rivals failure takes precedence, then you crack on fella!

It's probably more than that now goats! :laughing6: But we'll be ok this year no doubt. But it wont last forever, only a fool would believe that. We are the only club in the premier league that relies on it's own income without outside investment. So no matter how much the sky deal goes to, we will not be able too survive no matter how 'well run' we think we are. ;)

It's not hard to work out, but basically if you become an established premier league club. Then you pay established premier league club wages. You have to, otherwise you cannot compete. It doesn't matter what the sky deal is, it is eaten up by agents and player contracts. The more you get, the more they want. And as a club without outside investment there is not a lot left in the pot once the wage bill is paid.

Surprised how bad they are doing this season, if they lose to West Ham tomorrow pressure is on. They will need a good manager to pull them out of the mess Monk has left them in.

Montero sixty million and Ki twenty to arsenal....

Still, I think theyll stay up. Other teams are dire.

But other teams will be spending come january. Will they?.

Neutral fans no longer enjoy watching them. Possession football is the worst when theres no end product.

That's mighty honest of you, 64JACK

I personally don't think this will be the season you drop back down (it's too much to hope for! :laughing6: ) and a huge influence on 'when' it occurs will largely rest on Huw Jenkins' personal decisions over the next couple of seasons

He won't stick around forever and he will take with him (a) the drive and passion that propelled a once bankrupt club (that's not a dig) to the Premier League, and (b) a shed load of money for his efforts!

Enjoy it whilst it's there, fella ;) :ayatollah:

Even if the Jacks win today, they will only be out of a relegation place on goal difference

Eventually this will all change.

Footballers and Agent fees have had their noses in the trough for quite a while now. However their ability to demand those wages is coming to an end. Prime example is James Vardy who has come from the bottom leagues and now is a top premier striker after a small time at Leicester. Eventually there will be lots of James Vardys coming through and the supply will soon overtake the demand. The sooner this happens the better.

I think they are in a worse situation when they sacked Laudrup when they were flirting with the bottom 3 so hopefully this is the time that they finally go down. :thumbright: :ayatollah:

They drew 0-0 so will be in the bottom three this Christmas :ayatollah:

Watched both of the Sky games today. Watford v Liverpool was entertaining and got to say fair play to Watford, another team having a great season.

Both Swansea and West Ham looked poor. Big few months for both of them, although I think West Ham will be alright once their injured players come back.

The Jacks need to get their next manager right, or they could easily go down.

When a team are in the bottom 3 around Christmas they tend to struggle to get out. West Ham are 8th so I think they'll be fine, agree that it was a poor game though. :thumbright:

If it stayed that way come May with us and Brum staying put, there'll be some tasty derbies with us and the Jacks and Brum - Villa. :laughing6:

Didn't realise West Ham were that high up, cheers :thumbright:

Agree it'll be difficult for Swansea, Aston Villa and Sunderland now. Villa are as good as down anyway I feel, such a poor side.

Big chance wasted by the jacks with west ham missing some key players. I fancy had this fixture been a few weeks back the hammers would have turned them over

The other teams have pulled away a bit, Bournemouth, Newcastle and we know Chelsea will no doubt, as will Sunderland with big Sam I'm sure. Not looking good for them, who would have thought Norwich would get 3 points at utd? Biggest thing of all is it seems their team spirit has gone, for the first time in a decade almost.
