Cardiff City are lining up a January deal to bring current loanee Tony Watt in on a permanent basis, after the striker impressed since joining the club from struggling Charlton Athletic last month, according to the South London Press.
The 21-year-old had failed to hit the ground running after joining the Addicks from Belgian First Division side Standard Liege, but has been impressing fans of the Welsh club since arriving in the Welsh capital in November.
The former Celtic striker has already bagged himself two goals in his first four appearances for the Bluebirds – the latest of which coming in the Bluebirds’ 3-2 win over Brentford on Tuesday night.
It now appears that manager Russell Slade is desperate to bag the striker on a permanent deal after his early impact at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Cardiff are currently mired in the middle of a battle for the Play-offs, and are currently sitting in seventh place in the table, just one point off sixth placed Ipswich Town.
If the Bluebirds are to reach the Play-offs this season, getting Watt back in on a permanent deal could be crucial for their top six aspirations.

Back this all the way. He clearly wants to be here and is playing his heart out. Good inspiration to the team and means the boys in the middle want to get the ball forward.
I do think he's wasted with KJ though.
