' WE DESERVED MORE '

Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:21 pm

City turned up with two changes from Tuesday night, Malone replaced Fabio and Ameobi took Noone's starting spot.

The first half I felt City enjoyed the majority of the play and were better than Birmingham but we lacked the cutting edge up top.

Tony Watt is going to be a fans favourite for sure and despite not having his best game in his short spell with City, he certainly is a trier.

Despite enjoying the majority of the play City succumbed to a referee's decision that was more than harsh on the bluebirds.

Marshall dropped the cross and after a scramble in the box a shot came that Matthew Connolly defended with his face but the ref believed it was his hands that did.

It was in the 45th minute and it was a big blow for City but I still felt that City would get something from the game.

The second half and City were under pressure for the first 10 mins.

Birmingham were pretty poor in their build up play but as a shape defended pretty well and you could see that they were desperate not to lose the game rather than take the game to City.

Birmingham played like an away side would typically play in my opinion.

I am disappointed to lose, like I would be for any result, but I don't think we deserved to lose tonight if I am honest.

Ok, we were not as attacking as we have been in recent home matches but it was an ok performance that didn't quite get the desired results, there were opportunities for City tonight but they didn't fall our way.

Strange as it sounds, after a defeat, I feel quietly confident that City will get something out of this season. Hope I am right.

Our attacking play was poor tonight, only Watt and Pilkington looked like they wanted to make something happen.

I'm a big fan of Kenwyne, but he just wasn't in the mood tonight.

Watt was given skybet man of the match.. I thought Amiobi had a good game tonight too.Kenwyne and Gunnerson waste of space tonight.

Holloway also said Kenwynne shows a lack of desire.

I thought Ameobi was outstanding or let's just say a good player, cos others will say he wasn't that good.ha.Anyway onto the game, well I guarantee 100% we could have been 3-0 up in the fist 10min,and I guarantee Carl that was nothing to do with Slade

I'm not anti Annis either, I know his views on Slade, it's well documented but I know he wants City to win more than anyone but tonight AA has to admit we were robbed.
I live 5min from Annis and I want what he wants, a healthy CC.

In fact I will be in the Masons tomorrow for a few

I thought the ref got it wrong, but that does'nt change the fact that we did'nt look very impressive against a poor team on a bad run and missing a couple of key players. I had us down for a draw, and honestly never thought Birmingham could beat us considering their recent form. I am more convinced than ever that there is no way we will be in the play offs without some serious strengthening during the transfer window.

We all saw the same game Carlos but there does seem to be some varied opinion to say the least . Funny old game eh ?

We deserved at least a point tbh we didn't really perform tonight.

We didn't take our chances. If KJ had an ounce of desire we'd have scored 2 tap ins in the first 10 Mins. Refs will always make mistakes. We should have scored 3 or 4 goals end of. Finishing was just poor. :bluescarf:

We got what we deservdVery poor Birmingham side

We didn't deserve f**k all, we barely had a shot on target.

I thought we were the better of two poor sides, that doest mean we deserved to win. Boring and frustrating game to watch. Fabio on the bench? And rustle forced into a decision he should have made weeks ago in bringing Manga on.
