Don't blame Slade for that result.

The Ref cost us the game along with Kenwyn Jones, he should have scored at least 2 in the first half..

We created enough chances to win the game. Kenwyn is to lazy to get on the end of them ..

Jones is a big unit of questionable desire and fitness. 3 games in 6 days ????

Jones can fek off, he shows no desire to fight for our club..

Wrong team selection. Fabio and noone for malone and ameobi.

Re: Don't blame Slade for that result.

Fri Dec 18, 2015 10:23 pm

Disagree but only because he should have taken Kenwyne off around 60 mins.

All his substitutions are pretty much like for like & almost seemed planned days in advance regardless of the other teams tactics!

I really felt we had turned a corner a few weeks ago but tonight mirrored last season which concerns me.

3 shots on target the whole game only one the second.....We are not creating chances unless Watt does it on his own

Who else is to blame?......

Slade best team lost, yes they were shocking but they won and got the 3 points.

It's happened many times before and will happen again.

Plenty of chances created but poor finishing let us down. KJ in particular.

We had more than 3 and Kenwynne should have buried 3 of them. I know what your agenda is but midfield played well tonight and good to watch. Kenwynne and the ref had shockers! It happens, we move on.

KJ useless lazy lump of shit, a footballer on his mother's side. How anyone can think he is talent baffles me.Basic wage £35 000 per week staggering!!!On the whole a poor game with no endeavour looked like a training run around at times. This only adds to my belief that the Championship is in REAL decline just like its big brother. As for the penalty well...awful.

Re: Don't blame Slade for that result.

Frustrated Cardiff manager Russell Slade hotly disputed the penalty which gave Birmingham City a 1-0 win at St Andrew’s.

The Bluebirds boss was angry and admitted ‘I would like to have got extremely close’ to referee David Coote as he remonstrated with him at half time.

Slade couldn’t conceal his disappointment.

“We are all very hurt because we care, it’s so disappointing when a huge error gifts Birmingham the opportunity to score the first goal because other than the last ten minutes they had not had too many chances.

“I did have words with him at half time and told him he had got it wrong. I am not sure why because there were no players obstructing his view.

“We could have been in the top six, that’s why it hurts, to go a goal down rubs salt into the wounds. Would I liked to have got closer [to the referee]? I would like to have got extremely close.”

He is talking about my insistence that whoever plays in the CM role will never play well. Ralls and gunnar didn't create one chance tonight, slicker believes all our problem were down to Whitts, i believe its our system and i do concede Whitts isn't a 442 CM,but we play an antiquated system that we haven't the players for anyway.

It was three chances.

Re: Don't blame Slade for that result.

The penalty went against us. Shit happens. During the season we will get penalties in our favour. Im not bothered about the penalty.

What I am bothered about is that we are a side challenging for Promotion and our main strikers are not hitting the target. I wasnt impressed with Kenwynne tonight. Ameobi, for an ex-premiership player, should have hit the target with his chance.

But most of all the speed in which we played was all wrong. We were often too slow. Not direct enough. And didnt play at a high enough tempo.

I thought Ralls and Gunnar played well tonight, with some good interplay in the centre of midfield and good, pacy balls out to the wings. I couldn't fault it. I agree wholeheartedly with your observations on the system and I fully believe Slade should be more ready to adapt to different playing styles. My preference would often be 4-5-1 away. You and I don't disagree on systems, more on personnel.

WOL has them both 5/10 which is too low but had Pilks as the star man 7/10 ....But i have never taken those seriously though as watt was 6/10  I don't like Joe playing the deep role as there is a huge gap for gunnar to cover and Joe has the better long range shot.

Dear oh dear, Can't believe some of the shit I've just read on here tonight.

City were clearly the best team out there tonight, we were toothless of that I would agree.

The critisism of Jones who most have forgotten scored two on Saturday is a joke.

Football does this to teams all the time, grow up and accept it.

They have the 3 points because the ref made a mistake, it happens :( sometimes in our favour! sometimes not.

The cutting edge in the final third is a problem, but I feel we are getting there, I thought we played well apart from

that. Yes I know we have to score but the effort and attitude i thought was there, and that is what counts for me.

I tend to disregard WOL's analyses and accreditations too. They are often fanciful in my opinion. I certainly would have given Joe and Gunnar at least a 6 and Watt at least 8. You'd probably find that if there were no penalty and we came away with a 0-0 draw they would have given higher ratings, which is preposterous! I agree with your point regarding Joe however. I doubt you would agree eith my preference as an experiment which would be (when not injured) to have Digkacoi in between the back 4 and Gunnar and Ralls in central to allow them the space, momentum and confidence to thrust further in attack. Not for every match maybe, but I think it has merit.
