Cardiff City ready to push ahead with plans to take Tony Watt permanently from Charlton Athletic

CARDIFF look set to press ahead with a permanent deal for Charlton striker Tony Watt next month.
The Addicks loaned the 21-year-old to the Welsh side in November and the South London Press was told at the time that it was a loan with a view to buying if he did the business in South Wales.
Watt has had an instant impact for the Bluebirds, much as he did after signing for Charlton from Standard Liege in January, and has netted twice in four outings for Russell Slade’s side.
The indications coming out of the Cardiff camp are that they will look to keep the former Celtic man.
Watt quickly became a fans’ favourite at Charlton but had failed to score in his last 11 games before being allowed to make a temporary exit.
There have been suggestions his transfer fee could be £1million.

Great news....
As a Cardiff fan I have learnt to reserve judgement on a player and not get too excited about the hype surrounding a new signing (Andreas Cornelius for example)
But from just a few games watt has shown great passion and eagerness to get stuck straight in to helping the team. And hopefully there is more to come...
