Russell Slade:"Its Difficult to get Wins"
Russell Slade on the win over Brentford
18/12/15
By Steve Tucker
It was a win. That was important and it’s difficult to get wins in the Championship. We’ve maintained strong home form overall.
After drawing the last game to get over line was very big for us at this stage of the season. We go to Birmingham now looking for more points. The last batch of games have been tough.
We’ve played teams around us, Birmingham are in the same boat as us. They are looking for a win, they’ve not had one in two or three I think. They’ve not scored too many goals.
They will be organised. It’s on TV and will be a tough place to go. It always is. They will want to prove they are contenders as well. We are two teams in and around the play-offs. It’s an opportunity we will embrace and are looking forward to.

Should have said
"After drawing the last 2 games to get over line was very big for us at this stage of the season. We go to Birmingham now looking for more points. The last batch of games have been tough"
Or even
"After drawing the last 2 games and Jones saving my bacon in the last minute of injury with the last kick of the game to get over line was very big for us at this stage of the season. We go to Birmingham now looking for more points. The last batch of games have been tough, as I dont know what I am doing at this level"

So I take it you are back in the

camp? The impressive Bolton victory turned you back?
I see Slade is playing the underdog card again.. Looking forward to the game tonight

He is a professional football manager of 20 years, he is not clueless. He has ideas about the game (his profession) that i (a fan) disagree with.
I believe 442 is outdated and leave us wide open to counter attacks. He must believe that whatever systems the opposition throw at him the players are good enough in his system to get a win. There are two occasions when this has not been the case and two occasions when it has.
I believe that 442 away tonight will lead us to a loss.

No I'm not in the

camp or

camp but I will defend him against unfair criticism.
