Russell Slade talking about Jo Mason

Joe Mason had a virus that put him out and a little bit of a sore back too. He’s fighting to get back in the team. He’s made of the right stuff. He’s got a good attitude. It’s good to have healthy competition for places.

Why put him on if that's the case? Risk him when we got Ameobi and Macheda who both need game time.

Because our manager seems to put the same players on all the time because he has no plan B, he should have gone 4-5-1 when he took Watt off against Brentford and brought on Whitts or o'keefe to close up the midfield, when Brentford brought on their two subs we were overrun in midfield so what does Slade do, he puts on Mason for Watt, we were 2-0 at that stage and for the 3rd home game running we lost a 2-0 lead because Slade can't see the obvious, Fabio and Kenwyne got us out of the shit but let's not kid ourselves 'Slade has taken us to 6th' the Slade lovers will say. He's been lucky that's all I can say on that but I will still say I hope he proves me wrong and gets us promoted
