He is an injury risk, the professional medical staff the club employ encouraged Slade to get him off and so he did.
As it is he is now fit to play Friday and apologised to Slade.
He's a winner and it's a natural reaction.
As it was it proved a master stroke, not that is expect anyone to give Slade credit for getting it right this time. ( although there is always a large element of luck as to whether a substitution pays off- it works both ways)
