Well, following the news Charlie Austin will remain at Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season, thoughts turn to how valuable the striker will be to the west London club.

He showed his worth on Tuesday with a point-earning double against unbeaten Brighton, and new Rangers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be banking on such form as he tries mastermind an unlikely push for the Championship play-offs.


AUSTIN RULES OF JANUARY EXIT

Charlie Austin has confirmed he will not be leaving Queens Park Rangers in January.

Speaking to Sky Sports after his second-half brace rescued a point for Rangers against Brighton on Tuesday, the 26-year-old revealed his plans to remain at Loftus Road until the end of the season.

"I set out at the start [of the season] and I said to Les [Ferdinand] that I'm going to be here for the rest of the season," Austin said. "So I'm not going anywhere."
