Is losing 4-3 acceptable ?

Tue Dec 15, 2015 12:16 pm

I get the feeling that a lot of our Forum fans are happy if we score a couple of goals and act as if the result doesn't really matter.

Would you prefer to lose 4-3 than win 1-0 or even draw 0-0

I would prefer to win.

If winning isn't important why do we keep the score

The win is always most important, but until recently we've had periods of this season where week after week we were failing to score. I think it's just relief that we're finally putting goals away in open play, rather than fans taking the loss. We couldn't continue drawing 0-0. So for a short period of time, I suppose we're happy to be scoring, although a loss is disappointing obviously. Just need to tighten up in the last 20/30 minutes of matches now and we'll start taking 3 points regularly.

Win 4-3 one week and lose 3-4 the other is better than two nil nils.
