Membership

Hi, I had a season ticket for the qualifying campaign but don't remember buying a membership of the FAW, have I cocked up my chance of tickets big time, or do season ticket holders also receive an access code for application?

Gold and Junior members get first crack.

The best thing to have done for the qualifying campaign was buy a Gold membership (£10 for the campaign), and then buy a season/tournament ticket.

Oh well, my mistake then. It does suck though, because I know of plenty of people who didn't bother with the qualifiers and have now bought memberships to try and get tickets

Don't worry, they'll be at the back of the queue.

I did the same thing - had a season ticket for the home games, but didn't buy a Gold membership as I wasn't aware of it. So, if I understand it correctly I can only apply via General Public sales and attending the last six home games gives me no credit?? Thought the season ticket buyers would have some preference over general sales..

Yeah the main thing irritating me is that there are people I know who went to no qualifiers and bought a membership who are ahead of me in line

Oh no. Is this the case. I have been to all the home games with my two kids and assumed we would be next in line after the ultra loyal away fans. That is bollox if someone can just pay 10 quid for a membership not attend a home game and get tickets before season ticket holders.

Yes, I'm afraid that is the case. Rang the FAW ticket line this afternoon and they said that only those who bought membership could apply. Having a tournament ticket for the home games counts for nothing without a membership. Crap, eh?

Membership was only £10, hardly a fortune!

well one would have assumed that having a season ticket would get you some form of priority without the need of a membership, and also it was never made clear that a season ticket wasn't enough for the tournament. its been handled awfully imo

Well, it stands to reason that if members are given priority for buying tickets for qualifiers, they'll also be given priority for the actual tournament.

It's been the same system for the last 3-4 qualifying campaigns. Buy a membership and then use your membership number when you buy the home/away tickets.

The home season ticket is fairly new. Points are awarded for being a member and the games you've been too.

Get a membership and call the faw to ask if your season ticket games can be added.

Ah well.

This isn't a new concept. If you had been attending matches over the years you would have known to buy a membership.

Hi Gravity, Thanks for your kind reply re Wales V Russia tickets x 2 I posted Wales V Toulouse trip for my sons 21st birthday this year. Fingers crossed your strike lucky in the draw for ticket application, and again very much appreciate the gesture should you secure 2 Wales V Russia . Keen to have a father and son trip to Toulouse some thing for him to remember. We live just out side Cardiff. Cheers ............
