' SLADE HITS OUT AT HIS OWN PLAYERS '

Sun Dec 13, 2015 12:15 pm

Russell Slade has hit out at the team after letting a two goal lead slip.

I agree with the manager on this one, I wrote yesterday evening that the team stopped doing the basics and failed to close Sheffield Wednesday players down in the second half.

Slade, spoke to the BBC, and said "We had chances to kill the game off at the end of the first half and the start of the second half. But we looked open at times and for their goals we have simply not done our jobs.

"It is a balancing act we need to get right. It is not about any one man, we have to do the basics as a team.

"If you don't they prove costly. You have to get to the ball, close down, make a block and defend properly. It's about discipline."

The players don't care or give 100% for the entire game because they do not believe in the dinosaurs tactics, style of play and management. This is the difference between him and Malky. Malky was equally as boring, but he had the passion and belief required that he transferred to his team and got them all putting their bodies on the line to grind out 1-0 wins here and there.

He should bollock himself as well as he failed on the basics too.

If the crowd can see Wednesday changing the formation, growing into the game and knowing what was coming why can't a man with 20 years experience see it?

As a manager in this day and age you have to be flexible and have more than one system. His in game management is crap but then we shouldn't be surprised this is a guy who says man management is 80% and tactics 20%. Not in this day and age Russ.

How does the saying go "A poor workman always blames his tools" well in RS boy do we have a poor workman.

It is about one man Russ, YOU, and your habit of putting square pegs in round holes and making that same mistake one game after another.

Slide was clueless to their tactical changes. Why wasn't Digital Toy on the bench as our central midfield were tired (again a question of fitness), but even bringing on a fresh O'Keefe may have helped. We sat back too much after conceding two. We have been lucky with all the teams around us not winning.

Malkys football was difficult on the eye and very much safety first but the difference between Malkys team and Slades is every player was well drilled and knew what their job was at all times. Also if they lost concentration at any time Malky would be on the sideline reminding them, kicking every ball.

Slades teams reminds me of parks football where you just chuck 11 players out on a Saturday and sometimes it works because we have good players, and sometimes it doesn't when we come up against better coaches and different tactics.

There seems to be very little method and tactics to Slades team so much so I do wonder what we work on all week in training.

One week we are safety first, the next gun ho. Very little in the way of philosophy although I would rather draw 2-2 than 0-0 at least you're getting some entertainment.

I don't think it's a fitness issue with the midfield two just simply too much area to cover when effectively the 2 wingers and 2 strikers are out of the game when the opposition have the ball.

We made Barry Bannan look like Pirlo in the last half hour yesterday.

442 need two Iron Men in the centre who can go for 90 mins, not many of those around

How do you in anyway feel qualified to comment on these attributes of the current Cardiff City team? By your own admission you haven't been inside the CCS since the Brighton "scarf gate " game.

You really are Mr. Billy Bulshitter!

Your comments are quite frankly an insult to the fans like myself who attend every game, kick every ball for every second and support our team.

The game yesterday was very entertaining, in difficult conditions against a very well coached team I couldn't select a single player who didn't put in 100% graft and endeavour. Believe me some of the players' passion was so much in evident you could have sensed it in whatever God foresaken Balkan country you currently reside.

Slade got the tactics second half wrong and players being human made individual mistakes, such is the game of football.

Slade needs to look at himself- poor tactics, always like-for-like subs and a serious lack of fitness in the last 15 mins. This is the main reason we are always giving away the lead. We simply won't go up under him I'm afraid.

Re: ' SLADE HITS OUT AT HIS OWN PLAYERS '

Until Slade goes we will have games like this. He has cost us about 8 points so far. Slade has to go , problem is Tan doesn't understand football so doesn't get that his appointed manager is actually costing him a play off place

my first game for good while.
I was shocked at the crowd attendance and the way we play under slade.
he got to be the worst we had the team looks so disjointed its unreal there is no pace in the team .
noone being a winger did not once attack the full back rather going for the safe safe approach and keep the ball instead off having a go some of the space he had at time I wished cohenn was playing !!
we look poor kenwyne well what can I say not a lot cause he did fu@k all !!
it don't help when u got slade shouting at the same time Trollope his having ago im not surprised the players r playing shit with them 2 monkeys shouting .
im afraid slade and back room staff out and start a fresh .
It wont happen. :sladeout: :sladeout:

Full match video highlights are an amazing thing. Maybe you should get in the real world. You insinuating someone who watches the game televised can make a judgement is pure nonsense. Gary Neville has watched games through screens and given a perfect analysis of football on a level you could only dream of. Nearly all of the pundits on Soccer Saturday watch the game via video broadcast and give their summary of games at the end when they all talk.

The fact is, you do not have to be at the game to analyse it. Get over it and leave your superiority complex at the door. You are not a better fan because you attend games. The fact you think you are superior because you attend games is hilarious. To many, including myself, I think fans who go now and claim 'they're addicted' are just prostituting themselves to Tan, but hey ho, thats just my opinion but of course I don't feel the need to tell you or anyone else that almost every other day, like you do feel the need to remind me that I'm somehow not a real fan because I don't go to games.

If you want to continue to claim to be better because you go to games and dance along to Tan's merry tune as the circus continues then go ahead, that is your own prerogative, but some of us won't. Also, fans keep deluding themselves that Tan realised the error of their ways and that he turned us back to blue out of the kindness of his heart. I don't know what level of stupid you have to be to believe that. Tan is a businessman, and by his antics over the last few years, I also believe he is a ruthless sociopath. I doubt he gives two hoots about the fans emotional attachment and has merely taken advantage of it to rinse the local fanbase of their hard earned cash whilst the club is back in the Championship. A clever business move when you consider the fact the club isn't getting millions from Sky as its no longer in the Premier League.

That's my opinion on the matter and I'm sorry if you cant accept a difference of opinion because you have a narrow mind, but thats just it, accept it and move on. I moved past the fact that I needed to prove myself as a 'real fan' when I was about 12 years old so it appears you have some catching up to do. I highly suspect you won't, will continue to come back at me in an attempt to prove yourself on this forum and further illustrate that you are nothing more than a man child that needs to grow up and focus on issues in life that seriously matter, rather than trying to convince everyone that you're a real fan who goes to games. Well done, tell the dentist next time you pop along and you might be lucky enough to get a sticker or lolly. I'm sure they'll be impressed.

My God, I was totally mistaken, you're not Mr. Billy Bullshit! Your Mr. Patronising, Prentious Bullshiter.

So people like me, have no right to moral high ground when it comes to commenting on the endeavour and attitude of our team
Because we actually turn up to games. We are mere hypnotised mice dancing to exploitive tunes played by the pied piper of Kaula Lumpar. This is truly insightful, intellectual bullshit!

We support our team by our physical presence, vocal exhortations and audible joy and despair but we should listen to wise words of a man who decided by a huge issue of principle based around the donation of red scarves, to abandon the the team of his devotion. Who always claims to enjoy discussing issues with fans from his second favourite team the ever so red Liverpool.

The irony is delicious, you really are a fantasist. You have the temerity to call me a man/child, stick to scouting for A.C. Milan or are you denying that claim?
