I was going to post something along these lines. Very worrying if he is not selected for next match. We have seen similar patterns of players being frozen out of selection due to there contract and not ability

It's crazy, Our 2 best defenders are not playing. Manga is rotting on the bench while Turner has been shoved out on loan "to gain fitness". Surely there are enough development games to get him fit here?

It's a strange one polo, when we couldn't buy a goal last month our saving grace was the defence, i think we only conceaded two in six games?? now we have started scoring we are also leaking goals with the same defence, i'm with you about manga, it has to be the right time to bring him back into the starting elleven.

Its like man city keeping a fit vincent kompany on the bench game after game, it wouldnt happen.

I would take the gamble and bring Manga back.

My worry is if we tighten the defence we will lose out up front. With Manga though he can add to the attack and well as shore up the defence.

After yesterday the two players I would drop for Wednesday would be Connolly and Malone for manga and Fabio. I used to think Morrison was poor last year but I think he has improved a lot this year and played well yesterday where as Connolly seemed out of sorts, letting ball bounce and reckless in possession. He has played really well most of he season but his form has dropped recently and was out muscled last week for Bolton goal. Malone also was suspect and didn't offer as much going forward as usual. I rate both Connolly and Malone as decent players but Morrison is probably behind Joe Ralls as Citys most improved player and seems to be up for the battle and a leader. Just prefer Fabio to Malone due to his 100% commitment and drive going forward.

Yes because when you have pace in the team it is easier to pass the ball forward into the space. Mason and Jones dont give you that option, and when Whitts and Digi were in the centre Ralls was being used on the left and he doesnt give you that option either so thats why the ball had to go into feet rather than into the space.

When Whitts was playing with Bellamy, Chopra, Mcormack, Burke.etc who will make the runs for him thats when he was at his passing best.

You cant just pass the ball forward for the sake of it if theres no movement which as a team weve clearly lacked under Slade so the next best thing is to keep the ball rather than give it away.

Yes considering Whitts cant tackle and is a defensive liability according to some we havent stopped leaking goals since hes out of the team.

Id like to see us go Whitts behind Ralls and Gunnarson in the middle with Watt and Noone or Pilkington off Jones and maybe then we could find the balance between attack and defence but thats not going to happen under Slade.

Id still rather the waqy we currently play to the way we played previously at least we are showing some attacking intent.

Ralls with Diki, and Manga and either, and we should have the right balance IMO, although it's nice we have a bit of choice again and competition for places.

Agree wit above aswell, Watts direct running is making a massive difference and making the games better to watch......

And if he does go I for one would not blame him when we have a dick of a manager who thinks that Sean Morrison and Matt Connolly are both deserving of being in the team ahead of him.
